Exactly. Death rates are very small for people under 50.

In a way, so many of these news articles are propaganda because hardly ANY of them mention WHO died. No one should die from this and with respect to them, the news outlets need to specify if those who died were of a certain age or had compromised immunity. I rarely hear this in the US and it's so annoying.

I went to the grocery store yesterday and they are nearly SOLD OUT of toilet paper, cleaning/disinfecting supplies, cold meds, etc. They are limiting 5 of these items per person and have signs posted.

The widespread panic and histeria jumped out. :trollga:

Other countries are going to adopt the same measures Italy is taking right now, further proving that this is a major  global issue and not an infection spread around from Italy like some disgusting media reported a while ago. Unfortunately until it doesn't happen in their own countries, people don't understand how serious this is.

Hope it doesn't happen of course, but realistically speaking France, Germany and several other countries are going to be in Italy's position in a few days or weeks. Italy has just started doing tampons earlier to tackle this  crisis asap. Italy is actually the example to follow, as WHO stated itself.

But some people said medias being exaggerate, it's just a flu. Nothing to worry about. Mortality rate for age under 50 is high.

So apparently you only think you'll be fine because you'll survive this, the rest doesn't matter, including you family and parents.

4.9% death rate in Italy as of now.

Probably many older people got it.

It’s so sad.

Yes, this hysteria underscores how dumb people are in general. Instead of checking basic facts and assessing their risks, they rush to clear out supermarket shelves.

I don't know if France will adopt the same measures in Italy ...

but I hope Macron will soon follow the measure of quarantine cause this is starting to get really serious in France

The sooner whole Europe takes it seriously as it should, the better it will be for all of us and this virus will end. I fear that many countries will delay those strict measures and adopt them only when they will be REALLY necessary. This way the spread of the virus will be contrasted only at last.

Better safe than sorry, but many countries don't understand it yet and it's a major issue.
