"The number of people to have died from the coronavirus in Italy has shot up by 133 in a day to 366, officials say. The total number of infections leapt 25% to 7,375 from 5,883, according to the Civil Protection agency. The jump in figures comes as millions adapt to new measures introduced on Sunday in an attempt to contain the outbreak. Up to 16 million people in Lombardy and 14 provinces need special permission to travel under new quarantine rules. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte also announced the closure of schools, gyms, museums, nightclubs and other venues across the whole country. The radical measures will last until 3 April."

But consider that in that area in Italy there are many hospitals and it's one of the most populate area in the country so the numbers are pretty reasonable and it's also very polluted so the cancer rate is very high.

While in S Korea they have only 50 death so far and have the same number of infected people and their population is only 9 million less than Italy..

I think the death numbers should be corrected to count only the people who actually died because of Coronocavirus and not the people who are already sick with a disease like cancer and got Coronavirus, because the Coronavirus is only a trigger, but they died because the disease already harm their immunity system.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Yes but those people with low immunity Sistem didn't die if coronavirus don't affected them.. So is because of this.. Maybe they will be live more years instead

Italy has the second oldest population in the world just after Japan that is why the deaths have soared and a lot of people are affected because 25% of the population are over 65.

Exactly. Death rates are very small for people under 50.

Funny how these measures of control won't allegedly have any impact on airports. As if someone getting to Milan airport and then going to the city centre (via bus/train) and maybe taking a train from the Central Station (and maybe changing in Bologna which is not included between red zones, but many cities surrounding it are) couldn't be potentially dangerous.
