Lord Mayhem 3,855
You can tell this is a Dubai event because not 1 person there was a male influencer or fan trying on the product... Hmm...very exclusive market environment for a brand connected to one of the most inclusive LGBT+ advocates in the world... But makeup not the bling am I right?... 4
SimonBaetens 9,842
I wouldn't blink twice if HausLabs shut down. I'm happy for Sara and Gaga that it's successful, but other than that I could completely live without it. And so could the rest of the world. when you're lonely, I'll be lonely too / https://www.last.fm/user/SimonBaetens 6

LGBTQ+ people do exist in Dubai, however they are forced to hide their identity from the society. They may still buy makeup products and remain in an underground scene. Moreover there are a lot of expats from other countries in Dubai for whom these rules are quite flexible in their spaces. 1

Girl the world could live without SO many things including Gaga and her music and career in general it’s not that deep. 1 1
gagzus 27,744
I’ve noticed they just call it “Haus Labs” without the “by Lady Gaga” moniker everywhere else had. Probably because of her association to the LGBTQ+ community and the fact not a single queer person is there. And nobody is darker than a sheet of paper either. 1

Most are in closet but doesn't mean they don't exist. That is just erasure and ignorant. There could be more than one reasons why they chose this branding. I tend to believe the association to celebrity, more than just being the face of it, tend to make a brand less upscale for some people. And most likely what's happening with it in Dubai. Fenty Beauty still has affiliation and was marketed with BY RIHANNA when it opened in Dubai. Gaga is an openly gay icon and, like I said, this video is clearly just straight women influencers. Probably people who don’t even like Gaga for her views anyway. Let’s be so forreal. 1
