The Fame Bonus Tracks were basically songs from an older project (the original debut), which already were finished, so since they were already laying there and they cost time and money, why not create some additional bucks with them? They had a purpose and message, they meant something to the artist, they were performed live, they were referenced a lot before, amidst and some after the album cycle, one was the ****ing opener of the tour, they were not commercial and blending in, so no „cookie cutter“ songs either.
