What’s most disturbing about these stories are the known track records of individuals like him who vote in favor of anti-LGBTQ legislation to preserve their own interests at the expense of millions.

He’s terrible. To come out without acknowledging the real, genuine damage his anti-gay support did is reprehensible, though in line with his privilege. Also stealing tax payer money to be fake insta famous and not even really achieve that. He can hop off this Kevin Spacey moment of his, the community doesn’t need him.

Oh like we didn't know he was gay... but he didnt apologize for doing anti-gay things like: including voting against adding LGBTQ people to federal hate crime protections, voting against the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and voting for a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.

His whole story is about how bad he had it and how unfairly everyone treated him. There's absolutely no sense of remorse coming from his statement, only excuses. Many of us have a similar upbringing as him, yet none of us became politicians actively harming other LGBTQ people.
