interesting points and i think he is telling the truth. but honestly there has to be a better way than what's going on in the US today. i personally don't think there shouldn't be any billionaires, but to add to that point, i also don't think there should be billionaires in the US today when most people are living paycheck to paycheck. there just has to be a redistribution of the wealth and the US should bolster the middle class more. honestly these days the tax on people who are sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars needs to be like 90 percent because just on the face of it, one person having hundreds of millions, while a person working full-time at mcdonald's has a hard time supporting themself, that is just so wrong.

but i'm not an economist, i'm no expert in the economy, and i think it is conceivable that the economy could take a downturn just from the prospect of a far-left economic plan (just like how the economy booms under trump much over nothing but a thing called "confidence"); in other words, i can see fear running rampant through wall street and stocks taking a tumble should sanders begin to get close to the presidency because investors become afraid of a loss in revenue, but quite frankly, idk how that would ripple out beyond wall street. i have heard small business owners say that under the sanders' plan they would be out of business, but in my opinion if you can't pay someone a living wage, don't start a business. idk seems harsh. again, no expert in the economy here, but i know enough to KNOW that something is broken in the US and it begins with corporate greed and shitting on all the little people who help to make a corporation great.

What I find fascinating is that everyone wants to argue that this would destroy the economy, etc, etc. But what I don't understand is why people don't acknowledge that tax rates can be changed and have changed throughout the history of our country. In fact, the marginal tax rate and taxes for the wealthy have only went down further and further since the 50s (trend-line, it has occasionally went back up only to go back down). If for whatever reason, Bernie's idea that redistributing wealth through taxing the rich doesn't work, all that needs to happen is for the tax rates to go back down. The reason people on CNN and the media establishment aren't willing to accept this reality is because they know that if taxes are raised that it's not going to be the catastrophic nightmare to the economy that they keep predicting. They know it'll result in a more thriving middle class and they don't want Americans to realize that. And my friends that I constantly debate this with on GGD will come back with the fact that it's too drastic or too much change at once. The fact remains that the scale has been in imbalance for so long that a drastic change needs to take place. If that means that for 4 years that the rich get soaked and then the rates change to something more moderate then I don't see why that can't be a realistic path forward. The working poor and middle class need a reprieve and they need one that will actually fundamentally change their ability to accumulate wealth, to buy houses, to have a family to live with dignity. People who scream communism really bother me because they are advocating for people who have more riches than they will ever have and really have believed the propaganda that working Americans need to look out for the richest of us before looking out for their own.

He’s wrong actually, Bernie never said he would bring anyone’s economy over. Not raise the tax rate on middle and lower class as this video suggests. He’s nit picking. Typical politics, and makes me feel like the DNC truely does not want change.
