I have to say, her video message tonight actually brought me to the lowest point since the announcement of the postponement... I have no idea what she's doing, or what she hopes to achieve. Hopefully the situation stabilizes in a few weeks and she can switch back her focus on her projects.

I guess in Chromatica corona really IS greater than other things .....

I really don't know what to think anymore... I get that she feels the need to save the world, but like I said, many of us have already invested quite a lot in Chromatica, between pre-orders, merchandise and tickets (I'm personally approaching the $600 number) so... before people come here and tell me she doesn't owe us anything, well... gurl kinda does  I think the least we could have is a quick update about this whole mess, and the assurance she's currently working something out. Because right now it just feels like it's the least of her problems, and I truly hope it's a false feeling.

I totally agree with you. I think some people on here find that opinion to be “rude” and “dragging Gaga” meanwhile others have been downright cruel in name calling. I understand why 4/10 isn’t feasible from a promo perspective. And models show that’s about the date when the deaths are going to be piling up in the US. With that said, she shouldn’t keep us waiting that long to know when the actual album is coming out. And she also shouldn’t keep us waiting about the tour. Most people who have dates starting in July (i.e. The weeknd, guns n roses) haven’t canceled yet so I guess it’s premature to postpone/cancel but it’s inevitable.

I don’t see the harm in both advocating for corona + simultaneously giving us updates on Chromatica (it’s eery how similar they sound). And then we have ari posting pics with Gaga and GGD making it the banner when we don’t even know if we’re realistically getting that song anytime soon. And I’m still pressed they waited until 17 days before release to tell us. 3 weeks before they knew that the situation was always going to get bad in the US and Coachella + iHeart; and probably other promo spots were already canceled. I’m praying her “surprises” are still actually coming fairly soon and maybe she wants to spend a week or two trying to advocate for the WHO. But like that’s not really her place. The GP also was annoyed at the WHO director tweeting that, saying he should be having calls with scientists and not pop stars, right after Trump was taking advice from Arod and he got criticism for that as well. They’re not wrong either. It’s just messy.

Right, I think everyone is trying to do the best they can... and I literally love Gaga for being the compassionate and kind being that she is. But is it really her place though? There are people far more qualified than her to take this issue head-on. She is an artist, and like she said, her role in this world is to heal people's pain through her art, so shouldn't that be her focus?

I kinda hate myself for feeling that way, because she's a literal angel and here I am whining about the fact she's not focusing on music.... I just hope she's not fighting the wrong fight, know what I mean? I'm not bitching about the delay, I think it was the best and most respectful decision to make right now, but... I hope she's not losing focus and she actually has a plan. Than again maybe she's also working on the new Chromatica rollout and she's not telling, and here I am having a meltdown for no reason :laughga:

If an artist can do her best to calm and cheer her fans then I think she already do her job properly. I appreciate her kind towards the whole world but at the same time, how could one person contribute more when she can’t solve her own problems first, aka the demand of fans who wanna dancing through pain in her music?

I completely understand what you're saying. The only thing I have a problem with is when some people were name calling, sending death threats, and more.

Oh my God totally, nothing justifies that. The delay was completely understandable.

I'm feeling more and more ridiculous anyway... she was obviously not going to talk about Chromatica tonight, and I wasn't even expecting her to. I'm an emotional mess and I should just go to bed :saladga: Let's hope this brand new week brings us some news.

This! I love her, but this whole kindness speech is starting to get real superficial...

Honestly after watching the special she’s the only musician not to sing on the show. The whole thing felt kinda weird to me :wtf:

I think she is both, a singer and a saint. Maybe Messiah

I've been thinking for some reason, do you think that with all she's done and will do in the future, when she dies, could she possibly become a saint? Saint Gaga. Saint Germanotta. Then she'll have schools and churches named after her ( I would know, I went to a catholic school for 5 years). I would love for her to be honored that way. Okay, I can't think about this anymore for obvious reasons. (IDK why I'm so random LMAO)
