There’s no excuse, they could’ve easily came up with some last minute lower budget promo plans :billie:

No, they just don't want them to be referred to as "tribes" anymore because of the backlash from the Native American communities.

I’m not a history major yet but doesn’t tribe originate from Ancient Rome? :selena:

Okay, but there's a difference between being upset and being an asshole.

We're all upset. No one wants Chromatica to be delayed, but there are ways of expressing your feelings without being childish, immature, and disrespectful.

No one's saying that no one should have the right to be upset, but if you're going to be upset, have the decency to at least express without resorting to say such harsh things.

Honestly, there's nothing more annoying than "fans" feeling like they have the right to say such awful things about the artist they supposedly "love".

which is why i clearly said “Not saying some of the stuff people say is okay”. No need to ~school me in order to fish for likes

who will love me when the night is over

Idk about you but I just wanted the music. In 2020 I don’t care about having a full eRa anymore

Then there shouldn't be a problem :vegas:

No one is saying that you can't have an opinion. The only people who we're telling to stop are those who make unnecesarily negative comments.

And sweetie, please. "Fishing for likes"? I'm just being a decent human being :vegas:

How can anyone possibly say that when we have no idea what it's like to do what she does, what it involves, the timescales or how it may interfere with anything else she may be working on? Even without the current restrictions in place.

Unless you're someone in the industry with direct experience and connections yourself then no, you don't know that it's enough time.

People, like yourself, seem very caught up on how an album is traditionally promoted. There are no rules.

Eh, she might be rich but she has limitations.  I'm pretty sure a lot of her "financial resources and connections" are either laid off/ temporary not working/ working from home (which makes things difficult)/ quaranteed etc etc...

A lot of sh*t is happening in this world right now and making a last minute promotional plan isn't easily as feasible than say... a month ago and beyond.  People are social distancing and in isolation.  Not as easy as you make it out to be...

I didn't say it would be easy.

Though, compared to her peers who don't have hundreds of millions of dollars in personal wealth, current partnerships with both Apple and Amazon, vast connections in the fashion industry, and one of the largest public platforms of any artist in the world - promotion would be comparatively easy.

It's about the opposite of being easy. It's about challenging how she would normally approach an album release. Trying new things.

This was an opportunity for innovation that lost to concerns about making money.

Is she still keeping the "tribes", but calling them something different? Like societies or something? :awkney:

Also, I didn't see any backlash from the Native American communities...Not saying that it isn't the right decision to change the name, but this is the first time I'm hearing of these backlashes.

I'm not, I'm just not pretending to know what's possible and what's going on behind the scenes in the midst of a global pandemic.
