May 15th would only make sense, if they just wanted to rethink the promo and make it more social media and online based. If they are going to delay the album until corona dies down, then the earliest date would probably be late fall or next year and i doubt they want to delay the album for that long, it’s gonna sound dated. If Gaga genuinely thinks that the tour won’t be postponed then she’s out of touch or she just didn’t want to bring too many bad news at once. I just hope that they come up with some new ways to promote the album and release it to serve its meaning of healing the people and letting them escape and dance their pain away

they need to A D A P T

for Gaga's team or Interscope to think anything will be better anytime soon is delusional, I don't understand why they couldn't keep the example of Dua's or The Weeknd

I also have a theory they needed more time before the release and this is just an excuse, I mean we were two weeks away from the release and the album didn't even had a cover, like...

so my delulu heart makes me wish they rationalize the strategy and the delay doesn't come too late

Let’s stay hopeful, Gaga said the tour will still happen and she also stated she has talked to scientist and all that I’m sure she knows a bit... for now let’s hope for may or June who knows an announcement can be on Tuesday

While I am not saying that Gaga's tour will happen in July, the reason why the Olympic games had to be cancelled now is because of all the necessary preparations thousands of sportsmen and women around the world put in to go to Tokyo. It's not just 15 days mid of summer that they have to think about, but months of events before the Olympics (like many qualification tournaments for different sports now in March/April/May which could not be held due to corona) and getting visas, approvals from local Olympic committees, getting funds/sponsors for traveling etc. etc. it's such a huge event they could not wait any longer even though it's 4 months away from now (that's actually really little time for an event like Olympic games). They were also "forced" in a way by different countries who cancelled their participation (e.g. Canada) before they made the decision to cancel the OG.

So it's not really a good comparison between the two, because organizing a concert tour (especially only 6 dates) is a much much smaller endeavor than organizing OG.

Even though the chances grow slimmer by each passing day, there is still hope. And one should first hope that things with the virus will get better (for everybody's sake) and not just because of the concert. Things could get reversed... you never know.

i agree with you 100%. They can’t depend on physical sales forever and need to pick up new methods and adapt, especially in these difficult times. I get that Gaga might not like social media, but the whole world revolves around it and they need understand that.

Also sorry if i’ve missed something, but i don’t understand how exactly is the fact that Gaga is speaking to scientists and doctors about the virus gonna help solve this situation and come up with a cure or a vaccine? If someone can enlighten me then please!

There are scientific researches out there already, posted in the past several days, proving that COVID-19's structure makes mutation less likely than of a flu. They categorized it into a slow mutating virus category.

It's absolutely something unprecedented, but in all honesty at this point it's 50 - 50 where this could go. There are so many factors which will determine the trajectory: individual government actions, people's behavior, potential treatment/cure/vaccine, weather, divine intervention (maybe a meteor wipes us out before) and so on... it's really too early to make predictions, be it positive or negative.
