Sure. There's a possibility for anything; I'm just saying that statistically the vast majority of sexual assault cases are true. I don't think this is an exception.

Is there anything that Kesha could do right now? I honestly don’t know about these things :ohno:

I know they cite legal precedence for single person third party defamation but lets be real here, they found her liable for defamation because the public knows about the accusation and thats... more defamatory. I was under the impression the accusation became public because Dr. Luke’s team subpoenaed Kesha’s texts. Am I completely misremembering this? If so, its their own fault everyone found out 🙄

Rape culture lesson: never text

yep it was because of the texts

This doesn't even answer my question, but go off. Why the need to even mention her in a thread that has NOTHING to do with her? I didn't talk about her moral standpoint, I literally just don't get why she's always treated like some accomplice of Dr. Luke's lmao

because Kesha's case begs the question of what Dr. Luke's presence in the industry is and how he is still making money. As we all know he is Kim petras's producer. She is relevant in this discussion so long as we are on the topic of ensuring that Dr. Luke's presence in the industry is minimized as much as possible.

As soon as it went to court, Katy Perry distanced herself and made Witness without him

So in the eyes of the law, Kesha was lying?

According to their opinon, Yes.

This case is only based on the defamation suit. I believe the actual rape suit is still ongoing, but this case pretty much validates the final ruling.

There is not enough evidence and her lying under oath, even though the accusations were most likely true, does not help. I truly believe that something did happen, but there has been too much hearsay and drama surrounding the case.

That's the point, sweaty. Nothing is proven, so why should she care? Besides, the accusations have nothing to do with Kimberly,so again, why should she act like they do?

Just because Luke is not convicted doesn't mean he's innocent. Like the other user said, it's not like there isn't any other producer who she could work with. The accusations have nothings to do with her yes but she knowingly defended someone who is accused of rape and has a history of work related issues with female artists such as P!nk and Kelly Clarkson (who refused a writing credit on My Life Would Suck Without You cause she didn't wanna be associated with Luke).  She should care  cause who she supports will reflect back on her.

Does it matter? Damage is done

Kim is a transgender woman. Naturally, she'll have a very very hard time to make it in the music industry. She is not Katy Perry who could work with practically any producer she wants to. It's morally wrong to work with him but I can't blame her in particular for taking a opportunity.

lol so trans women are above morals??? like there aren't hundreds of other talented synthpop electropop producers that she could work with. i can blame her for literally working with anyone else other than an abusive person like him. again she's trash for doing so.

Disappointing (and disgusted) but not surprised at people taking this man's side.
