Spock 20,290
Just now, Tim Drake said: because you know the truth right? i bet you defended amber heard as well? because regardless of the veracity of Kesha's statements, everybody from Kelly Clarkson and Pink to Charli XCX, have gone on the record to say what a TRASH, controlling, abusive and disgusting person he is, corroborating at least part of what Kesha is saying, years before she sued him. The same way people in Hollywood knew about Harvey for decades, people in the music industry know Dr. Luke is a complete asshole who will love me when the night is over

You damage somebody's reputation when you say he raped you but then it's proven that he didn't. If he did rape you, how would YOU be the one who damaged his reputation? He'd do it himself with his own actions. If Luke was found guilty he couldn't be successful with this action, that's just common sense man. Every rapist would then be able to file an action against the victim for defamation. That would be ridicoulous

Naturally, she'll have a very very hard time to make it in the music industry. She is not Katy Perry who could work with practically any producer she wants to. It's morally wrong to work with him but I can't blame her in particular for taking a opportunity.
OBEY 57,109
Unfortunately we'll truly never know if it happened or not. In order to have Dr. Luke convicted of rape/assault, the judges HAVE to believe that the rape/assault happened, at like a probability of 99%. Obviously, this will not be the case, because there's lots of contradictions, no witnesses, lack of proof and so on. Tons of people get raped and because they can't prove that it indeed happened at 99%, the judges can't convict because god forbid the possibility that someone might be 2% not-guilty. Not taking anything away from her, but women have the lower to ruin a man instantly by saying he sexually assaulted her at some point. The media and GP bash first and ask questions later. If the judge and attorneys didn’t find any reason to deem him guilty than something is up. So many have been found guilty and he hasn’t after this trial. The hate needs to stop and the realization that Kesha most likely fabricated needs to be heard. It’s not fair on his part if he’s just a bad businessman but is labeled a rapist. As a man, it's so easy to be threatened by a movement that is supposed to help women and bring disgusting rapists to justice. This is such a typical response from someone who doesn't understand the issue at all. False rape or sexual assault accusations vary between 2% and 4%. And that does not include all the unreported sexual assaults that victims don't want to report because they're too afraid of not being believed, not wanting to relive their trauma, and and and. Women have the power to ruin a man's life? Instantly? The only instant ruining of someone's life that happens is that of a victim of sexual assault. How many men have continued their careers as if nothing happened for years after an accusation? How many accusations against these men weren't believed until multiple victims came forward? How many men continue on their careers as if they're not sexual predators to this very day? If the judge and attorneys didn't find (or believe) anything then that's just further proof that the system is f*cked. Anyone who feels threatened by the possibility of being falsely accused of a sexual assault, I beg you to watch this and rethink And also consider watching The Hunting Ground if you're more concerned about men's lives being ruined by false accusations rather than people's lives being ruined by sexual assault and harassment. LaLa 19,238
Ugh. Awful, awful. This is exactly the reason so many women don't speak up about their assaults, and indeed is very likely one of the reasons Gaga has never named her abuser. But I can't really talk about this without actually starting to cry at my desk, so imma peace out

That she can sit there and work with someone who is so reprehensible and has hurt Kesha at the very least business wise by artistically trapping her (if you don’t believe ANY of the sexual and emotional abuse allegations) speaks A LOT about her character or lack thereof. It’s gross that she sits in a studio knowing that a man like that treated Kesha like ****. She deserves to be dragged. After all, Dr Luke should be blacklisted but Kim is the one crossing the picket line. It’s not like she doesn’t have the talent to make good music with a different producer who isn’t a garbage human being. This doesn't even answer my question, but go off. Why the need to even mention her in a thread that has NOTHING to do with her? I didn't talk about her moral standpoint, I literally just don't get why she's always treated like some accomplice of Dr. Luke's lmao
crybrowz 3,177
So what happens when this goes to trial? I thought the whole point of his case was to sue Kesha for defamation, which now he has. I agree with that, idk why would you think I don't. I just wanted to show you that calling somebody dumb or rapist are 2 different things and can't be compared. 2. You are the one confusing this. I said that if he was found guilty of raping somebody, he wouldn't be able to sue X person for making that information public. 3. That completely unrelated to my post.
