The advancement of equality for Queer Americans is a core feature of Sander's progressive ideals, going back decades.

I voted for Sanders in the last presidential primary, but was happy to celebrate when the Democratic party became the first major political party  in American history to give the nomination to a woman. These aren't trivial wins. They are significant. You don't have to support Pete to acknowledged the historic impact of his candidacy.

We already acknowledged him getting support is an achievement. I don't have to worship him to do that.

He's still not someone I support as the Democratic nominee to be president of the United States.

The arrogance thinking you can over right videos of real black people who have known and worked with pete for years with moronic conspiracy badly edited propaganda is astonishing.

People who try to tarnish someone else's character - without *really* caring what the facts are - should be ashamed of themselves. Watch those stories and see for yourself.

That you can find black people who like Pete does  not negate that you can find black people who hate or dislike him...
( ._.)

PERSONALLY, I'd rather compare the results of investigative journalists who indepth interview people involved in specific altercations than listen to the testimony of people who are used as part of an overt political agenda to dress up issues...

But if there is a position to take between this argument, I would err on the side that both can be valid rather than one is right and the other is wrong.

Doesn’t change the fact that it’s journalism and the fact that all of the people in the video are FROM south bend. Your bias is showing and it ain’t cute.

No they are poorly worded opinions.

You’re fundamentally misunderstanding. Advocating for rights is not the same as a queer person being elevated at the federal level.

Ok. Here you are again calling facts “opinions.” Very similar to “alternative facts.” You’re lying.

That is true, but these people are to Bernie what Fox News investigative journalism is to Trump.

Weaponizing identity politics. Facts are the facts.

Honey, the only facts are:

1. You ain't got the facts on your side, you are making false accusations and spreading deceptive propaganda
2.  You don't get any more of my time.

It’s not propaganda just because you don’t like it. Are you saying these people all went on camera to lie? What lunacy.

why are you using Lmao and sad reactions as a reason to create this negative perception of "Bernie Bros".... :awkney: This is GGD and if those reactions annoy you idk what to say... Equating that with angry Sanders tweets is a reach.

As a gay man of color I have more in common with homophobes of my own race in terms of what I've experienced in life given the racial politics and dynamics of this country and racism within the gay community as well. His win, while I celebrate it a lot for the reasons you mention, still doesn't mean that much to me in terms of representation because he is still a white rich Christian man who appeals to white suburban and rural voters in Iowa

Misusing the LMAO and SAD reactions is a petty way to express disagreement with someone. It's also against the rules of the forum. It just perpetuates a level of incivility that shuts down legitimate conversations. In this thread, and basically every thread related to this primary, Sander's supports have been misusing the reactions. So, I thought I'd address it.

It's also worth noting that Pete has the lowest networth of any of the primary candidates, estimated at $250,000 USD. So, I'm not sure why you think he is rich.

But I respect your opinion.

I love seeing sad reactions.  I read them "wah!"

The meltdowns
The conspiracy theories
The false claims
The maturity

Y'all Bernie folks sinking your own ship and you got no one else to blame.

No. That’s what you have convinced yourself of because of your hatred of Bernie. You’re a bad faith actor.

Biased is biased. If you can't see that what are we even talking about. It's called spin and facts can be given a negative spin especially when some facts are omitted.

Nice try tho.

This isn't how bias works at all. Bias is unavoidable, and it doesnt mean that ALL people who disagree with you are by proxy unreliable by virtue of being biased :saladga:

You also don't actually know the political views of these people, you are assuming it by association. Some of them have endorsed Bernie Sanders and are very explicit about it, others have stated nothing specific, even if we can infer they are at least friendly towards him.

Here we go again with the personal attacks.

I can take it. I've been called worse for being gay in highschool.
