Oh yeah. Is Pete a millionaire?

So does Bernie represent rich Jewish people like Epstein?  You know because they are both millionaires and Jewish.

Have you lost your f*cking mind?

Oh wow. Iowa looking like the red Trump map of the United States. Pete might very well win it.

What point are you trying to make? Your trump derangement syndrome is showing. Fact is, the areas Bernie has done well are largely unreported relative to other areas.

All the users misusing the LMAO and SAD reactions on literally every post about Pete - we get it. You don't support Pete. That's fine. But you'll notice no one is doing that to every pro-Bernie post. This is where the negative perception of "Bernie Bros" stems from.

If you are actually interested in the progressive ideas Sanders has been espousing for decades you should be able to celebrate the fact that an openly gay man won or came in second in Iowa for the first time in American history, even if you don't personally support him.

I'm gonna push back -  many "bernie bros" here are doing this in response to months of gaslighting and "lmao"/"sad" reactions from Specific members who do that to us on a semi daily basis :emma: I'm pretty active on this part of the site and I could literally @ several members who "started it" if that really concerns you, but I don't see the logic in blaming people for being rightfully defensive as opposed to the people who are being aggressive in the first place *edit* I don't have the ability or inclination to really police every single person who ever feels like lashing out for any reason, but I will say I personally try to refrain from this.

We've got people some days saying "I like Bernie, just not his supporters~" and those same people calling him a dead beat whose never gotten anything done in his life that hates women the next day, while also calling all of us delusional and even worse, refusing to EVER admit any mistakes  :deadbanana:

This is attributional ambiguity basically - a difficulty that members of stigmatized or negatively stereotyped groups will have in interpreting feedback.

Thoughts like "Did this person lmao react me because they just hate Bernie? Or me because I like him?  Or am I just paranoid?" can quickly turn into active ones like "I should lmao react them back!" or even "I should do it first to get ahead of the fight!" etc. - Not an excuse, but an explanation.

Doesn’t change the fact that it’s journalism and the fact that all of the people in the video are FROM south bend. Your bias is showing and it ain’t cute.

The arrogance thinking you can over-write stories of real black people who have known and worked with pete for years with moronic conspiracy badly edited propaganda is astonishing.

People who try to tarnish someone else's character - without *really* caring what the facts are - should be ashamed of themselves. Watch those stories and see for yourself.

So instead of listening to what I showed you, you instantly pivoted to say what I shared is not facts. Ok. You’re done sis. You’re just ignoring the truth

why are you using Lmao and sad reactions as a reason to create this negative perception of "Bernie Bros".... :awkney: This is GGD and if those reactions annoy you idk what to say... Equating that with angry Sanders' supporters' tweets is a reach.

As a gay man of color I have more in common with homophobes of my own race in terms of what I've experienced in life given the racial politics and dynamics of this country and racism within the gay community as well. His win, while I celebrate it a lot for the reasons you mention, still doesn't mean that much to me in terms of representation because he is still a white rich Christian man who appeals to white suburban and rural voters in Iowa

I would have preferred if they had done either one of these things:

1. Tell us when 100% of the results would be ready (even an estimate would be acceptable)

2. Have the 100% ready and gradually report it as it originally would have been done

Releasing 62% and leaving is hanging in a close race between two candidates is idiotic.

Meanwhile Pete Buttigieg, who the white gays think mean something, polls well with 2% of young people and the same with people of color :lmao::ladyhaha:

Sorry henny, but you getting NOWHERE with 2% of young PoC when they represent over 50% of people in the millennial generation and after.

He polled support from 21% percent of the under 45 vote in Iowa.  Second only to Bernie and polled 25% of the over 45 second only to Biden. The entry caucus poll. So there's that. Bernie isn't not polling anything for the over 45 crowd.

But go off.

Progressivism is not identity politics.

The advancement of equality for Queer Americans is a core feature of Sander's progressive ideals, going back decades.

Some of us are above identity politics.

Yes, it is an achievement that happened. But I'm not going to praise someone I don't support because of it.

I voted for Sanders in the last presidential primary, but was happy to celebrate when the Democratic party became the first major political party  in American history to give the nomination to a woman. These aren't trivial wins. They are significant. You don't have to support Pete to acknowledged the historic impact of his candidacy.

I've seen those videos.  They're stupid to anyone who actually follows the whole story.  They are bits of information taken out of context and used to make false conclusions.

You're the one who won't watch videos of actual people who actually know and work wiht him and who ACTUALLY know a lot more about black issues than your (presumably) white ass.

Weaponizing identity politics. Facts are the facts.
