I will say, Bernie's teams #s are consistent with the overperformance Pete's team is reporting based off of their previous polling with first + final alignments, which is a good sign that both camps have similar data.

It's possible that either one of them could've won. I would be interested to see Pete's data and see if Joe remained in 4th... that's a killer for him, whereas Pete winning Iowa does not likely translate into a NH or NV or SC win especially  It could for bernie though, who is up by double digits in NH, expected to win NV, and who has closed a 31 point lead in SC to just 5 points behind Biden and with Steyer in a close third.

There is a paper trail. The accurate numbers will get released.

Mayor Pete gave a great speech! He reminds me of Obama in the way he delivers his speeches.

At least Warren is in the top three. Biden being in fourth is not really surprising.

Of course this would be your takeaway. :rip:

Well, I wasted 5 hours of my life waiting for results which, much like me after watching Pete Buttigieg's speech, didn't come.

The Buttigieg campaign is aware - even if they don't win, that they will benefit from claiming a victory early.

I disagree with this. Perhaps it won't, but this could likely blow up in his face if he were wrong.

I personally don't see a problem with him declaring victory if his team thinks that they have won based on their internal polling. Nor do I think that he or any candidate has an obligation to substantiate any claim they make based on their internal polling while we wait for these results.

Yeah, and?

I thought Pete gave a good speech. It’s my opinion.

Guess what? People here, and out in the world, have different opinions from yours.

I want Bernie to end up with an egg on his face when he finishes behind Pete in Iowa.
