538 predicted that if Bernie had been announced the winner his chances of winning the nomination would have shot up to 58%

**** everything :rip: Biden is gonna get away with his terrible lost and be able to spin it in order to keep his lead in SC (though there should be more news coming out about him admitting hes been lying to black people about his involvement in the civil rights movement :wtf: )

On top of that, I don't see Pete's early victory announcement being able to regain the potential bump he would have gotten had he been declared the winner last night in a reasonable manner and able to give that victory speech in a different context.

So, everyone loses but Biden (and Bloomberg who is still being allowed to debate for some reason. We need all the candidates to boycott tbqh, because he should not be allowed to buy the DNC to change their rules its disgusting)

People are watching the Bernie supporters meltdown in real time.  I can honestly say I'm surprised they would latch on to a totally illogical conspiracy theory given how transparent the process ultimately is because there are several ways they will verify the results.   If it turns out Pete didn't actually win, I'll *really* cringe for Bernie supporters.  From what I can see they have totally humiliated themselves with this hysterical reaction over a small number of delegates.

It’ll be more problematic if it turns out to be another case of deliberate tampering. I’ll give these folks benefit of the doubt that the app broke along the way, but for the sake of all our little blue hearts if it turns out to be the opposite we may as well just prepare for another 4 more years of the orange gremlin. His base will eat this up as proof that we’re the crooks.

I dont understand who would win from creating this mess. This doesnt help anyone.

He lost to Bernie and this is one of the states where he was favored :huntyga:

We don't know who won yet.

Though data reported from both camps seems to indicate that those 2 are in the lead for sure (Pete first only reported his viability, not any specific #s, and now he just reported #s from himself and no one else so theres still no way to know:deadbanana: )

I think Pete finished second with Bernie first and Biden #4

Joe Biden wins from this.

If Bernie had won, his chances of winning the nomination would have overtaken Biden's in 538's polling model prediction, and he had already overtaken him in many people's minds. Biden apparently flopped HARD tonight, possibly even coming in 5th (I was praying for 4th, like god damn) or just barely above Klobuchar at 4th, and if he is able to say "we dont really know who won, there was some inconsistencies, etc." he can spin his loss into "i still got a chance in SC!" As of right now Biden's 31 point lead in SC has dropped to five points over Bernie, who was rising in SC with AA voters, Biden's supposed firewall. Unlike Pete, if Bernie won and got a close second or even a possible victory in SC, it would be over, Bernie would almost certainly be the nominee at that point unless he underperforms in every other state or Bloomberg rises EXPONENTIALLY and overtakes Biden in the south (which i dont see happening - stop and frisk will possibly kill him, but he would certainly rise either way)

But if Pete had won (decisively) he would have been able to possibly do well in NH (but still ultimately flop to oblivion in SC and likely most of Super Tuesday as well -he still has the weakest chance of winning the nomination, even Bloomberg is higher, and Klobuchar in some polls)

If Warren had won, she would have jumped up considerably, but not been in 1st overall.

I feel as though the establishment is either giving up or has already given up on Biden and would shift gears towards Bloomberg. I’d rather entertain the idea of a President Bloomberg at this rate over President Biden.

Today people will still find out that Biden lost. If he is on 4, it's a real problem for his momentum.

Bloomberg is a Bernie spoiler incase Joe flops yes

Tonight, Joe likely flopped - hard in fact, he wasnt viable in what seems to be a very high # of precincts, and he might even walk away with 0 delegates after its all over.

That would be convenient for Bloomberg to jump in, with the next debate coming up etc.

BUT now Biden can give his last "I didnt lose yet!" speech, which could prevent Bloomberg from becoming the lead moderate yet.

But, I have to ask do you know Michael Bloomberg's history? This man is a literal Republican oligarch who helped put dozens of innocent black people in jail, has a history of sexual harassment and deep misogyny, etc. I actually WOULD prefer Biden over him, and I hate Joe Biden :ladyhaha:

Impeachment coverage on top of the messiness of this means every candidate will be able to spin their loss however they want.

"Trump Acquitted" possibly today could completely overtake this hot mess.

It's too perfect for the moderates :deadbanana:

Ok. Go take your condescension elsewhere.

I'd also note re: your previous post that everything I posted is a verifiable fact through FEC records and isn't a conspiracy theory. There are real questions about what happened with the caucus last night and considering the DNC had 3 years to figure out how they were going to do this shows incompetence at the very least.

Your cringeworthy comments re: bernie and his supporters are just wrong.

Sadly yes. I was close to NYC when he was mayor and was responsible for encouraging the NYPD to embrace the stop & frisk bulls*** that was systemically targeting people of color.
