2. Due to Gaga’s condition and age, she is not going to stress or overwork herself by giving us something different every time like back in 2011.

She was bound to go through a creative dry spell. It's understandable. But to blame a lack of creative ambition on her "age and condition" is a real reach, and a little insulting.

She is in her early thirties. She is young.

If her chronic pain prevents her from delivering a show with the same level of physical exertion featured in her old shows she should change the way she approaches concerts. The formula she uses to create a show should change and evolve. The physically demanding aspect of her shows isn't mandatory.

Louise Bourgeois was creating thirty foot tall sculptures when she was in her 90's. Claude Monet painted in spite of being nearly blind. You don't need to be young and healthy to create proactive and compelling art.

At the same age Gaga is now, also dealing with immense chronic pain, Frida Kahlo was able to push herself creatively.

I’m not insulting her or claiming she is lacking creative ambition. I believe many music artists peak success in their 30s. They’re still young but have grown and matured through experiences (which is why I said due to her condition and age).

If you have notice her chronic pain did change her approach to concerts. However, it has not stopped her from delivering an amazing show.

this is exactly what I've been trying to say and getting so much hate for it. I couldn't have said it better.

I'm sorry to say this .. But i feel like gaga hates pop music  .. So she better stick up with what she's doing best (jazz)  cause she downgraded herself with this whole enigma mess . :bye:

Why would Gaga change a whole critically acclaimed show for just one night where she also has time cut off? And before coming to me with stuff like its bs, its trash etc the critics literally has praised this show aswell with people who goes and sees it in Vegas bc if this show was truly trash than the word of mouth would have spread around and then her shows would not be sold out every single time not talking about people going back to see this show again. What would make sense is them coming back at the end of April and THEN change the show after she releases the lead single/album. The fact is that most likely she only did only half of her Enigma dates untill now (remember she has like 74 shows to do) so it only makes sense for her to change it on the 2nd part of this residency.

She actually gave the occasion to a lot of monsters/ people that couldn't watch Enigma (since it's only in Vegas, expensive & that a lot of people were complaining about that) to see it live & professionally filmed for free... Do I need to say it again... She let all of the people interested in her /in this show to see it in good quality for free while doing promo for a her BTW foundation... yet some of you still manage to find negative stuffs to say...

Just see the positive stuffs, for once.

To sum up this this thread for those who don’t feel like reading the whole thing:

Lady Gaga should do whatever certain fans think she should be doing or else she sucks.

If they don’t like a show - she should change it.

If we like anything that LG does post ARTPOP we are brainwashed.

She started to deny big pieces of what Lady Gaga and the her sound was, ultimately saying that she doesn’t remember ARTPOP, I also started to say that I don’t remember Lady Gaga.

So they started to also say...wtf is The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way and ARTPOP?

Literally nobody says that and ARTPOP was a dark period of her life so naturally she wants to forget it, but not in a literal way obviously she still performs tracks from it

I love Lady Gaga, but I'm so f*cking done with her "fanbase". Seriously, why am I even still on this forum? You all don't deserve her. Bye

This fanbase is dramatic and sensible as f*ck, I don't even care if they like Enigma or not but the way some of them are approaching it makes them look like a bunch of little kids who didn't got their favorite toy and now they scream and cry about it. Not liking Enigma is one thing, saying that everyone is brainwashed if they like anything after ARTPOP is a pretty embarrassing statement.

Apart from the fact that Enigma is original, there is not much that I like.
I said it was original because I can't imagine anyone else doing it. It suits dor Gaga, but I totally agree with you. You said everything I wanted to say from the very beginning.

She still puts on a great show. The monologues in Enigma are top notch cringe, along with her contrived bad bitch attitude and hand gestures. BUT she absolutely shines at the piano as usual. I prefer her jazz and piano set, but I think Enigma is very entertaining and I understand her movement/dancing is more stiff because of her chronic pain. I’ll always love her and respect her immense talent. Can’t wait to see what the next year brings

It was a cute show, and she was charismatic as usual.

I just think a lot of the disappointment was primarily self-imposed and rooted in a precedence of disliking ENIGMA in the first place.

I mean, disliking and critiquing the show is valid, but this time around it truly was a perfect storm of fan desperation for new material, unintended building of hype by not announcing the nature of the show, Gaga’s continued silence on everything, and such.

In the end, J+P remains the reigning superior Vegas show!

Ok, seriously I was concerned because the way she was breathing! I have never heard her so out of breath ever. It was her worst live performance to date. I hope that she is okay, because wtf
