she quit smoking, really?

y'all are acting like we saying that her voice is trash now, that she sounds worse than selena gomez, katy perry or something. It's not that. It's simply that her vocal delivery since last year is not on her standards as a vocalist. Just watch any performance of The edge of glory on joanne world tour (a 100x harder song than Shallow) and then come back here and tell me that you really doesn't hear any difference in her tone, range, ease, agility.

She implied she quit smoking in a recent tweet. Also, never said her voice was perfect (and many singers do decline a bit once they hit their 30s)—said the critics still praise it and some of you acting like she's constantly off pitch are cray.

Gaga herself didn't even hype this event much (just a random twitter announcement) so it makes sense we should not expect much to it.

As for the enigma livestream, I actually enjoyed hearing Gaga's voice in clear audio and I'm glad that she hit the notes in Shallow better than her previous shows. :heart:

If physical pain is literally forcing her to be off tempo, (which she really wasn't that off imo) then yes it is absolutely disrespectful to say that she is being lazy.

Do you not understand how crippling and exhausting head to toe body pain at can be? Lazy would mean that she is simply unwilling to do the work, which would NOT be the case if pain is forcefully affecting her performance. To call her lazy when something could be physically affecting her, isn't logically sound at all.

I don't understand that. Everybody Always said that a Las Vegas residency was the best decision for her health and fybro condition. Then why she looks and sounds 10x more exhausted in any of these Enigma or Jazz & Piano shows compared to any jwt show, where she had CONFIRMED fybro crysis during whole legs?

i'm not going to lie, but some of the interludes in Enigma are cringe. i don't like the flying part in Dance in the Dark, and i always look away when she's performing Aura because i don't like what she does throughout the song. i'm disappointed Scheibe got cut out. the robot would've been great. i'm also disappointed that she didn't address anything regarding the leaks. i understand that she promised nothing, but that doesn't mean she can't say something.

but regardless of what i disagree on, i still admire her work. it's helped me get through. i still love Enigma. it really helped with my mental health last year.

she sounded incredible during the first enigma shows, this problems only started in late january. so I don't think she declined from a show to another because of aging

Gaga has said herself that she is usually always in head to toe pain and that performing can make it flare up. Sure the residency is not a total solution, however the breaks do give her time to rest which a tour would NOT allow much of at all. Let's not forget that it also gives her time to go do other things like Haus Labs, films, all while performing and not totally overworking herself like a world tour would.

Also, some of you are absolutely exaggerating in regards to how "bad " her performances have apparently become. For example, she was not out of breath or "pitchy" during most of the songs at all. In reality she was actually singing the songs in a higher register than she usually does during Enigma, which is quite interesting imo.

Either way, the good thing is she does not have any other shows until April so can get some rest.

I'll give you this—better to be b*tchy on GGD than some of the so-called fans literally tweeting nasty sh*t, far meaner than what you've said, right at Gaga. That type of sh*t then sometimes gets picked up by PopCrave and tweeted right at her, and you know at that point she's aware when such a massive account does it. I don't care how rich or famous someone is, they don't deserve that sort of cyber bullying unless they've done something truly heinous and no, even if you strongly dislike Engima that doesn't "count" as justification for cyber bullying.

It's fine if you don't like it—I just don't get folks calling others delulu for liking it or saying it's "objectively bad" (maybe they don't know the meaning of objective?) when Gaga has critical and commercial success with Engima. At this point, I hope Engima ends soon because frankly the discourse is making keeping up with fan sh*t, which is supposed to be fun, not worth it.

I think i’m being respectful enough plus i didn’t say the whole show was bas, even though i wish she didn’t sign for it. But there are definitely things that most fans don’t like, and just cause they still attend the show it doesn’t mean they’re not bad. Like, it’s been 2 years and i still haven’t noticed a positive comment about that wig or the purple outfit so that’s why i assumed those are “objectively bad” ofc a really small portion of people are probably ok with them. I also don’t go cyberbully Gaga under any of her posts about Enigma but when someone makes a thread about Enigma, i’m definitely gonna give my opinion since they asked for it. I’m glad people still enjoy the show and i’d probably enjoy it too if i was there but at the same time we can all see there’s a lot of room for improvement snd it’s frustrating when she can make it better so easily but she just won’t. I’m not asking her to do crazy stuff, i just wish it was a little more polished.

It's a fansite.

Again, you're allowed to express your opinion. But it doesn't make sense for anyone to continually keep posting on a fansite if you don't like Gaga's work.

Honestly, I don't consider myself a Gaga fan anymore, but I'm here for the music/world news mostly and I like to discuss things  although I am slowly abandoning the ship.

There is no need for Gaga to force herself during those random shows, God knows what she feels when she's performing at Enigma, she probably feels pain that bothers her when she does or sings stuff, probably being sick (I've heard someone saying that Gaga had some things that was helping with her breathing backstage) she's probably going to sing at Enigma and then after that staying in the studio making songs and other stuff. I watched a couple of videos and I enjoyed the show tbh she had some great moments.

This is nothing new, enigma has amways been like that, she's always extra and ridiculously theatrical during that show. But her "bad bi tch, queen attitude" is still here, you just have to watch the jazz and piano show.
