For someone who hates Facebook he gives them alot of ad money. Every time I scroll there is literally like three sponsored by Bernie ads. Such a hypocrite. Just because you hate the platform doesn't mean that you can't use it. At the end of the day any candidate has to use fb & other social media sites to get out the campaign message. ItsTommyBitch 12,640
The real tea is that Sanders campaign started latino outreach around 6 months ago and its paying off in dividends, they've got people going neighborhood to neighborhood, speaking people's native languages, asking them questions, and slowly working them over to Bernie If Bernie does this well in California (things could still change, but i dont see him dropping necessarily), it will be majorly in part because of his amazing latino support! 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

My comment was more about you trying to find reasons to be negative about Bernie/his supporters no matter how innocuous the thread, concept, etc And Idk how many times I have to keep posting this meme ^ about facebook Also, funnily enough while Bernie is pro breaking up too powerful tech companies and big banks, its actually Warren who has made it an integral part of her campaign platform and messaging to date. The other day she said she would seek to make purposefully spreading misinformation (like what mark zuckerberg is allowing) illegal. There was more to it and I might have stated that wrong based on the headline, but yeah... Warren is the I hate Facebook candidate more so than Bernie 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

PoshLife 17,019
Biden has actually gone the furthest in terms of holding social media platforms accountable: he's the only candidate who supports repealing Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which shields Internet companies like facebook from recourse over unlawful posts made by their users (for example, fake news being spread about the candidates). https://www.businessinsider.com/joe-biden-criticizes-mark-zuckerberg-facebook-political-ads-2020-1 He obviously has a personal stake in that, given all of the Fake News that gets posted about him and his son (that same article mentions the history there). I'd love for the other candidates, who I know are serious about taking on Big Tech (especially Warren), to adopt that platform as well. It's completely outrageous that Facebook, which like Twitter has become so deeply ingrained in how Americans consume the news, won't fact-check political ads. I'll let you look up the @Morphine Prince"pocket change" thread so you can see how completely ridiculous most if these Bernie supporters have been in the past. I mean, I completely want to overturn citizens united, but I don't think we should shoot ourselves in the foot to reach that goal. We have to play the game as is. Strongly disagree. By taking the money in the general, you have become compromised. It's just delusional to think that corporate interests are going to fund politicians out of the goodness of their hearts. Yes, citizens united is a problem but is not the cause of the issue. It's actually another case, Buckley vs. Valeo, which argued that independent contributions from corporations did not result in corruption. Public policy over the last 40 or so years since that court case has proven that to be incorrect. Bernie has specifically argued for getting this overturned and is the real campaign finance reform we need along with publicly funded elections. Bernie has proven that he can be competitive in spending for a general election and it's also easy to point out that Trump spend less money than Clinton in 2016 and she still lost. Note: I understand you're saying that we gotta play the rules of the game but the reality is that if we always play by the rules, we're always going to play the same game. Relevant is that Bernie just spent his first ad buy of Super Tuesday States: 2.5M in Texas and California. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/480239-sanders-launches-25-million-television-ad-buy-in-california-texas https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/126/buckley-v-valeo

Just having him in office could set a nice new tone in American politics in general. I do think he can sway America in a positive direction so I agree with u But I also like to be realistic and I think some ppl are hyping up their expectations WAY too high... Campaigns are the vision and the dream... When it comes time for the real world and real politics, the general rule is always less is accomplished than ppl hoped for and ppl once again get disapointed It's not just about what he can and cant pass. Left and right wing policies both have positive and negative impacts that to some degree offset eachother The big minimum wage hike here in Ontario is a great example... It did not cause a collapse in employment or investment or recession like the Right Wingers fear mongered... but it did not cause a surge in consumption and purchasing power or a tricklyle up effect in wages leftists were convinced was gonna happen either and some of the negatives the right wing pointed DID occur to offset some of the positives (just not to the degree they thought) In the end neither opposers or supporters were correct... The impact ended up being somewhere in the middle I think Bernie's ideas will bring a lot of good but serious left wing Bernie supporters I think are frankly underestimating some of the downsides too I think on a net basis a lot of his ideas will still be more positive than negative for the average person but probably not the degree of prosperity many are envisioning At least in my opinion Economics is a very fluid thing with many factors, variables and forces that largely offset eachother. So the economy is very hard to look at in a black and white way Also @Woolfsmck I think I worded this better this time then our discussion last time

All we're asking for is a president who will fight for us -- someone who isn't willing to sell us out because that's what the establishment banks on and they almost always get their way. Americans are sick of that.
