Can you answer that for me? Because the only logical answer is that they see him as the biggest threat to beating him. That is the ONLY reason key Democrats are pushing him. That's it. Periodt. Start listening at 54:40 - Trump admits that in 2016 the only person he didn't want Clinton to pick as VP was Bernie. He acknowledged that Bernie is right on trade. Trump won 2016 by going to the midwest and saying NAFTA was bad etc. Well, the USMCA is NAFTA 2.0 and it's Trumps trade deal. You think he's not scared of Bernie? HILARIOUS. Also Trump campaign and the GOP chairwoman have focused on Bernie more than anybody in the past few weeks. So there's that too. Why are they attacking Bernie all of a sudden? Because they're scared to go against him, obviously. And we got video proof of it here.

Yes I can answer, its very simple: Trump's strategy going into the general election is looking like he is just to run this like Hillary 2.0 with minor changes - paint Biden as corrupt (e.g. Ukraine) as well as everyone around him, destroy his favorables, convince independents and non voters to not trust him, make it a game of the lesser of two evils again, and then say hey at least he's got the economy doing well according to unemployment numbers and gdp! This is probably why they laughed on that recording when Biden came up, because the case to make in the general has written itself. Meanwhile, Trump's populist appeal and ability to run to the left of Hillary on things like Trade, Foreign Policy, etc. (Trade is ESPECIALLY his strong suit re: these trade deals, when you've got most Democrats voting for things like NAFTA and NPRWC and USMCA that literally outsource jobs and kill jobs in America) isn't something he can reliably do against Bernie Sanders. He's looking to take a candidate and create the preponderance of evidence that suggests corruption, even when the person is innocent (emails, ukraine, its all the same) - the point is that it looks bad, whether its true or not. Trump + his team likely assumed Biden would run away with the nomination like literally every other person in mainstream media has been screaming at us for a year now. Ofc, the reports that show that Trump doesn't know how to run against Bernie, secretly admires his popularity, and the fact that he wouldn't be able to run to the left of him on populist issues makes a Bernie v Trump general election MUCH more contested. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
Harris Walz 2024 1,451
Bernie doesn't caucus with Democrats nor does he raise money to help down ballot races. He's not a Democrat. He needs to run as an Independent.

ItsTommyBitch 12,640
If you're going to double down in self defense and say "well, they can do whatever they want" then you might as well admit that you don't believe in Democracy unless it benefits you to save us the trouble Anyone who believes that all votes should count, and who has railed against the unfairness of the electoral college, a system founded on racism and slavery, should be outraged at the idea that they would disregard the voters so brazenly and in their own self-interest. And if you can take the mature position that this is wrong, I applaud you, but also consider that many people are generally apolitical, not super invested in politics, but they show up to vote occassionally when they feel inspired. Why would ANYONE want to vote for a system that they know is rigged and means nothing? Forget Trump for a second, because despite what MSM believes, the average American does not spend their day to day thinking about the immorality of Donald Trump, let alone other people's economic or social wellbeing. At its core, this would be undemocratic, hypocritical, and absolutely devastating to the prospects of the Democratic party for YEARS to come. No amount of "but Trump" is going to get millions of disaffected, often poor brown and white people to show up and vote for something they literally KNOW is unfair and doesn't matter, because the DNC would be demonstrating to them that this system is rigged. It just won't, it didn't in 2016, and it won't in 2020. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Instead of supporting systems that undermine our democracy and give disproportionate power to a few elites, you should be really analyzing why so many voters are choosing go with populists (in Trump’s case, a fake populist). And don’t come here with this false equivalence claim that Bernie is just as dangerous as Trump. Dangerous to corrupt, establishment politics and special interests? Yes. Dangerous to working people? Absolutely not.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Just now, Halsey said: Bern about to win through something much more corrupt: The Caucus System. Never forget Hillary won my primary vote contests while Bernie’s delegate count was massively due to the caucus system I implore you to look up the primary results in Nevada, California, New York and several other places in 2016 where voting was tampered with, delegates were refused their right to cast their vote for Sanders, people were purposefully mistold how to cast their ballots, and much more. It's all out there, and it happened live. There's no conspiracy theory There were lawsuits filed, motions carried, people fired/forced to resign etc.Tom Perez (who shouldn't even be the head, it should be Keith Ellison ) promised to do things above board this time, and here he is, nominating a bunch of people who have long records of playing dirty against both Sanders and anything that threatens corporate monied interests and lobbyists. Even the DNC knows that they can't just entirely let the media run wild with the fact that they rigged the primary against Bernie, and IMO it's our duty as citizens of a democracy to hold our leaders to account, whether they are republicans or Democrats. If we don't, what the hell is the point. Again, if you want to agree with this because you like Joe Biden or Pete Buttigieg or because some Sanders supporters were mean to you on twitter, I ask that you take a look in the mirror and decide what you actually believe in, because playing "gotcha!" on serious issues like this isn't a cute look, and you'd save us the time of trying to have good-faith arguments and discussions with you in the future if you just said "Look, this is undemocratic, but I don't care because I want Joe to win!" If you would be so courteous, we would appreciate it, xoxo 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
