Just because it happens a lot at clubs doesn’t make it okay? Do you even hear yourself? He tried to get the other person drunk who had to ‘flee’ while in tears. That definitely sounds like predatory behavior to me.

Needs more context before we start throwing around words like "Sexual Predator".

Well, @Maleficent has a point... saying “he tried to get me drunk” can have a LOT of meanings ranging from “he was offering to buy me drinks” to “he was actively forcing alcohol down my throat” which I’m pretty sure didn’t happen. If we’re going by this logic then I could say MANY guys have “tried” to get me drunk by simply paying for my drinks & hitting on me but that type of behavior has been normalized by EVERYONE, not just men. Especially in dating culture with females saying a man should be buying their food & paying for their drinks on dates. So yeah, we need more context. I can’t justify calling someone a sexual predator based off this tweet.

& NO, saying I need more context before coming to a conclusion DOES NOT mean I don’t believe him, I’m victim blaming, or I’m defending the perpetrator (I don’t even know who Jesse St. John is) so please don’t respond with that bs. There’s NOTHING wrong with asking for more context to make an informed decision. That is literally how it works.

It is predatory if your intent is to make them so drunk that they'll accept to have sex or do whatever they want you to do. Also, some people are weak and never think that people have bad intentions, hence how the person got drunk and cried and took an uber to get away after realizing that the intent was to make a move.

If you're sexually attracted to someone, FLIRT. Okay? NOT THAT COMPLICATED PEOPLE!

Stop treating people like sex objects, if you're so horny, GET A DILDO OR A SEX DOLL. Don't get someone drunk, meaning, NOT IN THE RIGHT STATE OF MIND TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS so you can have your way.

Jesus Christ. People gotta re-learn manners these days

Sorry, but no.No.

No.

No.

No.

Making a move is not the same as rape.

Buying a drink is not the same as rape.

Drugging someone without their knowledge is a rape.

Do you see the difference?

The crying guy was deciding how many drinks will he drink.

He also decided when it was time to go home.

If it was any other way it would be predatory, but these were just normal club gestures to show someone you are interested in them.

Stop making victims out of everyone and let them be responsible.

He got drunk because he was vapid and vague and wanted to drink so much and not because the guy hitting on him made him drunk.

Gosh.

lol, these replies :rip:

We don't know what happened, but don't misread his description: Jesse did make a move on him (after which Shamir interpreted his attempts to get him drunk as predatory) and however he did it motivated Shamir to immediately leave for home in tears.

Maybe Shamir is exaggerating but maybe not. We don't know. So stahp :gaycat:
