I just want to say that it is weird to put an entire city in quarantine for only 500 people infected.... out of 10 millions.

Also there is a video circulating where hospitals seem to be overwhelmed with people in line waiting to be diagnosed

I think the movie contagion is really good explaining how viruses spread.

Imagine you're infected, how many people would you infect per day? How many people the people you infected, would infect per day? and so on...

Also if there's 10 million, it is way more logical to put the city in quarantine. Better that than the whole country of 1 billion +

It already got to the US, Thailand and it is thought that to Mexico too.

I remember the swine flu outbreak in Mexico when I was like 6.

We coudn't go out, airports were almost closed, schools were closed, movie theaters  as well, concerts were cancelled...

I hope it doesn't come to that

i think the way you say it,makes it sound like a deathsure death sentence. But as far as I know lots also recovered from it already.

really? that's nice. but i believe there's no cure for it yet that's why people are getting alarmed. and the fact that it's spreading fast is scary.

this is the problem with virus in general, it's hard to make a cure, cause Virus adapt and mutate quickly.

girl, you have no idea how this virus jumped from animals to human, yet you feel the need to comment on some chinese eating habits that, btw, most likely, are eiither urban legends or wholly unrelated to this virus.

plus, there are a lot of places where they do not have the means nor the knowledge to have the same sanitary conditions as in the western parts of the world.

we are not here for your actually racist posts

Sweetie, not when I have close friends that live in China and speak the god damn truth about that country. It’s obvious how it jumped from animal to human, it’s how it always happens - consuming “dodgy” meats. China does not have the best hygiene and sanitary practices, that’s also facts. It’s not racist at all - it’s facts.

I ordered some things on eBay from China, should  I be worried that the items coming may be contaminated? I might sound stupid but just wondering?
