It's maybe the last time she actually worked on it. It doesn't mean that she re-worked it after. The lead single is supposed to be the first song finished, she also had to work on at leat 12 others songs too, so yes there is very strong chances that what we heard will be on the final version, and if they change some things, it won't we that different. It's a cute bop, just seems like a step back from Joanne and ASIB. if she's going back to POP for LG6, I want to hear iconic signature Gaga songs. Not lead single material for an A list singer, or artist, Gags like the second one better. I love it, cause it's fun and fresh, but I expected something more monumental or artistic maybe more mature song. The instrumental is cool, and a few part of the bridge The chorus is basic a bit. I still think there's a possibility that this song was never meant to be a lead and it's just something for Haus Labs "I will battle for you" is obviously inspired by the Haus Labs campaigns and the chorus sounds like it should be accompanied by visuals, which again, seems perfect for Haus Labs. This might just be wishful thinking on my part though But yeah, if this is the lead single, that's horrible and a huge letdown. It would mean she's decided to just... not evolve musically whatsoever and release music that would sound average on her own past albums, which she herself stated were more basic than the direction she wants to go in now. Its an ok track, but i dont think that this is a chart material, i just dont find it "fresh" enough, a "btw reject" sound pretty fitting.
