It could be considered as such. Blackface is just "painted to pass as black". Whether that's a ministril show caricature or hyper realistic make-up á la Robert Downey Jr., i think both are considered to be "Blackface"

"Blackface" wouldn't be the right word imo. I'd say it's blackfishing, or cultural appropriation, but blackface is intentional and mocking in tone. This is subtle and glamorizing. I think it's important to differentiate between the two.

Yeah, she does look like a lot of famous black women with the hairstyle and her head angled like that, but she's just slightly tanner than normal and the hairstyle is a vintage style both black and white women wear.  This isn't the best example of Kim blackfishing but that's definitely a part of her brand

That's a legit black woman. She needs to stop, the Kardashians need to stop. And the whole trend of white girls putting so much SO MUCH self-tan that they change ethnicity (side eyeing you Ariana) is not okay. Sick and tired of hearing "omg im so pale I need a self-tan" and then picking the darkest self-tan in the world to turn into a mixed race, or middle eastern, or a lightskin woman or a black woman. Outrageous. It's bad when poc try to turn white, for example like Lil Kim, and it's bad too when you try to be black, so let's not come at me with the whole "it's just a tan", it's not just a tan, it's become a trend, because being white and pale is not the beauty norm anymore. The beauty norm is to be ethnically ambiguous. This trend needs to die in 2020.

Are people really that stupid.! She literally jusy has a tanner than her natural skin tone. I literally look so light when its winter on the east coast. If I was in Puerto Rico I would be that same shade.

I agree with you, but people should know the difference between blackface and blackfishing. Blackface is literal racism, while blackfishing is cultural appropriation.

So true, have you seen this article about the "Instagram Face?" Apparently the new beauty standard is to have big cat-shaped Asian eyes, high Native American cheekbones, full African lips, a European ski slope nose, a poppin' Brazilian butt, and tan ambiguous skin

The kardashians wanna reap all the good aspects of black culture without touching any of the negative aspects. They’re so gross. And the fact that so many black celebrities give them a pass because they’re privileged enough to not be negatively affected by black discrimination is... sad to say the least.
