Nancy genuinely wanted to avoid this but Trump made impossible for her to keep ignoring him. The point of this impeachment process is to show that she’s doing her job. I see I see... but if Trump is impeached, couldn't he run next year and possibly be re-elected? End Racism Now

Because part of what happened in 2016 and what he is trying to do again literally has TO DO WITH election MEDDLING. The senate won't do its job or look at the facts and the constitution that they took an oath to uphold though, so we'll have to vote him out anyway. Yes. And the foundation of his campaign would be that politicians went against the people’s will and tried to kick him out. Which would be a powerful statement to run on. But so would the “I never did anything wrong and the Dems agreed” platform he would have used if impeachment never happened. In both circumstances Trump has the ability of spinning it to his favor. I was wrong, and you're right. He could technically run again if he had been removed but it would likely be a disaster. Senate doesn't have the moral will to do it though, so it's just a hypothetical.

ItsTommyBitch 12,640
This might help Trump win tbh, but he's always had a 50-50 shot imo anyway, so That being said, It does bring me some joy to know that in 50-100 years if America is still standing and in well enough condition (prolly not, climate change, income inequality, etc. lol) that history books will surely look back at Donald Trump's presidency as an unprecedented height of partisanship, bigotry, and note that he did not accomplish much in terms of the economy or socially for the people, but he was however the 3rd president to be impeached successfully, and that his acquittal will be undermined because it is so incredibly partisan. It won't read like he was really acquitted of wrong doing, but rather that the jury was stacked. Even Democrats voted for the impeachment of Bill Clinton and Johnson was similar Hell, if America ends up becoming a right wing fascist autocracy or flat out oligarchy in 100 years, Donald Trump will also be seen as one of the major turning points towards our demise, even as Democrats attempted to preserve our Democracy, and I will DRINK to both of these facts 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
Pop Music 20,540
the thing is he most likely will get impeached but this won't do **** in getting him actually removed from office so at least in my opinion this isn't as big of a deal as everyones making but everyone starts somewhere and this is a great step Pop Music and Lady Gaga forever! This may just be my ignorance with American politics, or politics in general, but... Wouldn't everyone want him out? Including the Republican senators? Because he's not a great face for the party. So wouldn't they want him out so that a stronger leader can come forth with a candidacy? I'm thinking that would give them a better change in the upcoming election; someone other than Trump. I’m sure many Republican senators secretly despise him for making their jobs more difficult, but the people that voted for them love trump so they’ll support him all the way.
