Or is it just taking this long to write a song? The contest was supposed to end 10 months ago. The Kendrick Lamar collab that got scrapped also (he ended up doing a collab with Taylor Swift instead). The Cher collab that got shelved. And going further back we have the cancelled Kanye West tour (supposedly due to his mental health after the MTV VMA incident). I think it's finally moving forward in production with an expectation for release on Netflix. I think the Kendrick Lamar issue also ran deeper, with rumors saying that his label didn't want him to be with somebody like Gaga, who was deemed "too gay". And of course, the Kanye West incident was way bigger than her, and luckily gave us MB1.0. But yeah, her scrapped projects are very notorious (do other pop artists have this much notoriety with abandoned/delayed projects?).
