Their pension will insanely decrease. It's the same situation for teachers from public schools. This reform will destroy a lot of social gains. Sweden has the same system of pension. Their pension decreased a lot since their reform. We don't want the same situation in France. That's the reason of strike. + the media are only focusing about the end of special schemes. No. This reform will change a lot our pension system (and in a bad way). It was so blurry that many people thought "why can't they be open if the reform is so damn great?". Yes most french medias were presenting it pretty much like a special schemes reform for weeks even if it's a reform that goes WAY beyond special schemes... And this change is the main point of the reform yet it's the one that masses had to put a focus on with these strikes or it would have been wrongly presented as a special schemes change more or less. The Swedish pension system is VERY different from what we will have. The only similarities are that it's based on "points" but the mechanisms behind them are pretty different.
