We-

Nvm Canada is cancelled along with the US and Australia

that's all folks laughing GIF by Super Deluxe

Canadians may love to act so superior to the US but in reality there's no Country more simmilar to the US in culture, what and how we consume etc

Not to mention when it comes to things like resource extraction were much more simmilar minded to the US than we are to Europe (even if slightly better with regulation)

Australia is kind of on the same boat too with its mining and stuff and since they are wealthier per capita than the US and Canada I would presume their consumption per capita is even higher

Yea I recently discovered this about Australia and how bad they really are for the environment. This is news to me about Canada though. I guess it makes some sense though seeing as yall are direct neighbors to us in the US.

Doesn't having some states split and not others make the election even messier and unfair tho? :madge:

There's a reason Americans have favored a popular vite option since the 1960's :laughga: only like a third of the people here want to keep the EC and they're republicans.

Whimsical bitch

Having lived in Europe and now in Canada I do see some differences inc consumption patterns

Cars, appliances like refrigerators are bigger in Canada

In Europe more ppl also live in apartments not to mention rely on public Transit more

Canadian cities are like US cities... A lot of detached houses with picket fences (especially in suburbs) and commercial stuff and industrial stuff zoned far apart forcing longer commutes and making walking impossible

Australia shares those patterns with Canada and the US

Also Canada has tones of resources and it's too tempting not to extract them... Even tho we have tougher environmental laws than some developing Countries, there's going to be some impact from mining and fossil fuel extraction regardless

As for Australia, excluding tiny Nations like Norway, Luxembourg Qatar, Switzerland etc... Australia is the wealthiest Nation in the world on a per capita basis when looking at more major economies

If they are so wealthy, inevitably they will consume a lot and their ecological footprint will be high
