Seriously how in the f did she miss AOTY it was literally a worlwide success and one of the most talked about albums, it had critical acclaim even from the haters. ASIB winning Album of the Year would be very anti-climactic, it's old news by now. People would scream that Lizzo or Billie deserved it. Whatever. LG6 will be AOTY. She will lose VM to Spirit, and SOTY to either Truth Hurts, Hard Place or Bad Guy. At this point I don't think Gaga even cares about ASIB anymore (especially after the Oscar win) and any new win is just a bonus. Might as well move on to the next project. There's a month gap before her year end shows followed by a 3 month gap in early 2020 so and this will likely be the timeframe of her completing the album and maybe shooting the visuals (plus next year's HL products). I think the LG6 will come out after Enigma is over. Adele and Rihanna is nowhere to be seen, and it looks like one of them will debut at the Grammys and basically steal the show. I think the album deserves a nomination for AOTY but let's not forget what little was done to promote it, beyond the eventual push for one single song during the awards season. Commercial success is not a criterion the panel uses, or we'd be seeing some different nominees here. Whoever's responsible completely dropped the ball on this one and did not capitalize on the film/soundtrack's critical/commercial success to keep the momentum going. Had they done that, I think there'd be more nominations/higher odds to win. Just look at Sunflower as an example - the momentum kept going after Spiderman, whereas Interscope had stopped pushing Shallow completely and slept on the other ASIB tracks after the awards season and let it die off. ARUTW is a well-written and well-performed song and the fact that it continued to linger on iTunes best-selling charts DESPITE 0 PROMOTION proves that it has legs.
