The first which doesn’t always mean you’ll win the nomination. At most, Pete will want a boost.

Ted Cruz won Iowa, where is he now?

That's the point though. Do you think Obama was on anyone's radar in before he turned out positive showings in early primaries?

No, but Obama certainly wouldn’t poll at 0% with African Americans which are 20% of Democratic voters.

Looks who's posting all these threads. It's our resident GGD Bern-victims, clutching their pearls and hissing at farts in the wind.

Ma'am this is literally my first and only thread about Bernie that I made because this was just a funny faux pas :rip: :lmao: Idk why the Little Buttplugs are so passionate about someone who barely even has a real distinctive platform, let alone a progressive one.

But you tried. A for Affort. :poot:

I dont remember Bernie doing to well with African American voters in 16 either. Obviously Pete has work to do. I dont think anyone would argue that.

Yes, but that was a 2 person race. This primary is up for grabs since there are so many candidates and it could go many ways!

Regardless, Joe Biden has a lot of AA support so he’s the one who will be hurt if others pick up AA votes.

This thread is about how his work isn't so great in that area... he can't even find a picture of an African American, let alone an African American supporter :awkney: and his fraud proposal numbers :ladyhaha:

Shawn Mendes found quaking in a ditch :giggle:

Right. I'm sure you must know his entire body of work to make such claims. So I defer to your superior knowledge. Thanks for schooling me. :selena:

Just a bit of clarification. As the primary continued after SC, his numbers with AA voters did get better, and Bernie was actually winning the under 30 AA vote by 5 points. The problem was that he was losing the 30-44 vote 2-1 and getting less than 10% of AA voters older than that. So needless to say the over 30 vote outweighed his five point win on the under 30. That said, Bernie has grown to where he generally does well with POC under 50. The only way Bernie wins now is if the under 50 vote more than the over 50. It happened in the 2018 midterms so it’s definitely possible even if historical data doesn’t bear that out.

I’m confused. It’s a stock photo. It’s an unfortunate mistake that looks ugly but do we know where we get stock photos from? I know I don’t.

But if someone could explain if the situation is different, I’m all ears. I’m legitimately confused why people would think this was “couldn’t even find an American black person” and not just a really cringey mistake. But happy to be told I read the situation wrong :)

It's mostly in the cringey mistake category. However, when you're running a big campaign, using stock photos at all is a bad idea. People want to see authenticity. Get an actual constituent, a supporter who is willing to speak for you for pose for your ad. They tried to take the cheap route which is not just cringey from an optics standpoint but also unprofessional.

I mean, *everyone* uses stock photography so that’s a whatever to me. Neither here nor there. Stock photography gets a bad rep, but there’s some pretty dec banks out there. Vice actually released one for gender nonconforming/trans people that’s free for public use to encourage inclusivity in stock photos! It’s rad.

Thank you for explaining the sitch :)

The real scandal isnt the stock photo, its a lot more insidious and damaging that the Buttigieg campaign was feigning support from black people and black leaders, some of which came out explicitly and said they did not endorse him or the Douglas plan.
