I'm going to a gym for the first time tomorrow. I have some workout equipment at home and have been exercising regularly for years, but it's become really limiting in terms of meeting my weightloss (and aesthetic lol) goals so I'm thinking of joining a gym for more motivation and access to more equipment. I'm kind of nervous since I don't know how to do a lot of this stuff with proper form, so I may end up booking a session or two with a personal trainer to learn.

Don't worry about it. Most machines have instructions posted that show you how to do each exercise. If you still have trouble, they have plenty of people walking around that can also show you. Good luck! :vegas:

Not to be rude but I'm surprised a pro-swimmer does not have more ab definition?

Gym is great for motivation--sometimes I'll think I'm done and then see someone absolutely killing it and decided to go through my routine again. Don't worry too much about the equipment, its pretty straight forward. Just remember: if it hurts without feeling like somethings being stretched or expanded, you're doing it wrong. That is to say, you should feel pain in your muscles, not in your neck, spine, or wrists.

Katharine Hepburn

I used to save pictures of him shirtless on my ipod touch back in 2008 :flower:

Good memories
