Fame is a double edged sword, every celebrity knows of the problems that comes with fame otherwise they wouldn’t have chosen this path. I think her main point is that she just miss PEOPLE in general. She just wants to talk with people normally out in public without the paparazzi chasing her, having BBQ with family or even just having a picnic at the beach, just watch the video she explains about how it feels unnatural talking to people in general when you’re famous.

Isn’t it self explanatory? Fame is Prison - literally means fame is a form of prison since people that attained fame have their actions limited  to what is perceived “norm” and “likeable” by the society (to keep their fame) similar to how prison confine people in a limited space. 
 

I don’t see how it undermine people who were imprisoned

the SJW’s literally likes to starts drama even when there isn’t one in the first place. They preach about mental health and all that but when a famous person suddenly starts having struggles with their life the SJW’s will try to downplay them. That’s just how society works sadly.

Yeah, you pretty much become dehumanized when your famous. I’m surprised she even addressed the tweet tbh, but I hope this will help people understand the meaning of her tweet and to not devalue her feelings!

Post-Diana and Post-2007Britney, anyone who chooses to get in to the entertainment industry etc, should have an idea of what it's gonna be like... especially someone like Gaga whose debut albums focused on FAME.   Certainly they should know they're going to be stalked like every celebrity in history.

 

I think part (if not all) of LG6 is going to revisit the theme of The Fame (Monster) and she's letting the world know what's coming (with these series of tweets)...

 

And if she really is just serving stale tea, then she should be called out for it.   This "Fame thing" is nothing new to her - she's been in the biz for a DECADE, and she's "stalked" less now than she was 9 years ago.

 

I'm the FIRST to defend her in troll threads/posts dragging her and her team for not releasing LG6 while this ASIB hype is still fresh, but it's not mandatory that I live with my head up ___ ___.

Weirdly enough, Gaga's tweet made me think of Lil Kim since she was in the news recently. I know there were legitimate reasons she had some minor plastic surgery in the beginning, but I can't help but wonder if the pressure of fame and constant comments on her appearance is what drove her to keep going back and back to the plastic surgeon. There's definitely a dehumanization aspect to fame.

Probably.  It would be nice if she could count on fans to be supportive and uplifting, and of course most are, but for some reason the mocking stan tweets seem to do numbers. I don't even get why you all follow tealslut etc.

Fame is basically a paradox: in some ways celebrities are very lucky, and in some ways there are obviously horrible downsides. I'm honestly surprised people kind of jumped Gaga for the tweet because I've seen plenty of other celebrities use similar language (or even more dramatic)—probably wouldn't have been a thing if Amanda hadn't chimed in. I hope people get it, but I think twitter has moved on to the next thing to be outraged about.

*I hesitate using the term outrage culture, since so many horrible people use it to complain about legitimate issues. But outrage culture does exist to a certain extent, where people flip out over nothing or exaggerate a minor misstep/slightly tone deaf thing into some big issue.  It's probably going to happen to Gaga (like most celebrities) when LG6 comes around, because she'll be under more of a spotlight. H*ll, even Bey fell victim to it and outside of the racist right wingers she usually avoids that sort of thing—remember the Guardian had a piece which basically accused her of pushing eating disorders (rolling my d*mn eyes) because she advertised a vegan diet plan? It was so ridiculous, and yet that became a -thing- too for a hot second.

Just because she knows how FAME works and blah blah doesnt changes that she is getting tired of it all

Probably not a popular opinion, but I feel like she should have let it  be. In the age of social media, people move on very quickly. Explaining things can just breath new life into a story...luckily, in this case the story was rather small and not that big of a thing and is already pretty played out...so I doubt there will be new hot takes. In certain cases, there might need to be an explanation but in this case it would have been fine...most reasonable people got what she meant.
