Black is a colour that represents darkness and hard times. It's also a serious colour that represents business, and also represents sexuality. AndĀ pink to her seems to represent love, peace, femininity. She has synesthesia so colours = feelings and visuals in her mind too.Ā Colours just mean a lot of things. I don't think she was restricting herself to black and pink for 6 months to tease an album. Rather her real life and personal thoughts translate into both her fashion and her art.
