That's gotta be the stupidest logic, not to mention says nothing about the merits of the film itself... A Children of Men had hardly the best release, but it's also a masterpiece... Ad Astra is a good movie and has more going for it filmmaking-wise than any of Disney's recent releases, not that that's a particularly difficult bar to reach The measure of success is box office Henny. We made a million threads when Gaga dominated the BO. Ad Astra doesn't have it. You're the one with the flawed logic. I said nothing about the film's content only that it was a flop. Glamourpuss 29,062
On looks alone she's perfectly cast for that role. I don't mean that as shade because she's beautiful, but because she has that evil aesthetic down. That dress is stunning.

What does making a million threads about Gaga have to do with anything? Success isn't just how much money you make - if it was, there would be no groundbreaking art made ever... What you propose isn't just flawed, it's sad and stifling, but you do you I guess... For some people money is substance It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke! I know the first film focuses on Maleficent's life during the animated film's events, so of course it couldn't be scene-for-scene like the animated. However, one of the most pivotal scenes in the entire animated film is when Prince Philip awakens Aurora with a kiss. And who woke Aurora in the live-action version? "Aurora pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep, fulfilling the curse. Maleficent, intent on saving her, abducts Phillip and infiltrates Stefan's castle, but Phillip's kiss fails to awaken Aurora. At her bedside, Maleficent apologizes to Aurora and kisses her forehead. Aurora awakens, as Maleficent's motherly feelings towards her count as true love." Motherly feelings? My Queen Maleficent? BLASPHEMY! Stop muddying the waters and stop letting anger fuel your replies. I only said Ad Astra was a flop. Ad Astra will not make up it's production costs therefore it is a flop. I don't know why you keep trying to refute that statement. Here is an article backing up my statement. Sleeping beauty animation is one of the worst that Disney ever made and it was also their flop era ,clearly the original story was too childish and lacked depth ,i mean aurora ,the lead !didnt even have up to 20 minutes screen time! ...that would have been terrible to watch in live action They even stated in the beginning of maleficent that the story isnt quite how it had always been told , hence they made the story way better cuz they knew the original sucked balls .they gave the story more depth and meaning and it is more climactic and mature ..and the twist of maleficint kiss saving the princess is one of the most briliant twist Disney had ever made . In summary, maleficent is the best live action remakes disney has made till date, and no,i dont want word word remakes of my favourite Disney fairytailes ,look at the mess lion king turned out to be ....in maleficent ,they was a badass witch and a naive princess and thats all we needed from the original story.
