The new 'Hunger Games' book title and cover revealed

As announced Friday on Good Morning America, the upcoming Scholastic book will be titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and will serve as a precursor to the dystopian series on May 19, 2020.

The only weird thing to me is her choice of writing specifically about the 10th games when the obvious choice would be the first one (or Haymitch's Quarter Quell), guess we need to read the book to find out

I'm guessing that if this book does well, it'll launch another trilogy of books and Mags' first HG was the 11th  one (IIRC) which would give more of her back story in a future book. Wasn't Snow in one of the early games as well? Could give his story too...

I’m so ready  One of my most favorite book series/film franchise of all time.

This is one of the few times I’m excited for a prequel.
