LG6 Will Be “Worth the Wait” If …

Title; but, idk I figured since the discourse / dialogue is heightened, and whether the album drops tomorrow, Q2 2020, or at some point in the unforeseeable future, “the wait” is an objective reality (and, tbh, hearing distant echoes of Cicero lately — a la… “I criticize by creation, not by finding fault”) … might as well ask out of curiosity (since a decent dose of the discussions seem to reference it anyway), and an attempted silver lining spin on the episode six scenario:

What would make LG6 “worth the wait” — to you? (Within any capacity and all possibilities of what LG6 could be, begat, create, produce, establish, claim, etc.)

My take is housed in the hidden / reveal section for the sake of saving space …

Spoiler

For me … fwiw, it probably comes down to three fundamentals: passion, perspective, and truth to power.

Gaga’s inherent and active passion for the project, work, and era itself. Expanded, critical, creative perspective (new frontiers, vanguard vantages, and such) and vision through the project, work, and era. Last, but, and most definitely, far from the least: a work that speaks truth to power — power being the audience, the establishment, the critics, the commercial marketplace, the industry, the fans, the GP, etc.: power being any individual, group, or entity who possesses authority and exercises agency in this space and time. The wait will always be worth it if the inherent intent is to move culture and society forward (in this case, through the platform / medium of Pop music — whatever that means to you), to elevate the audience within some authentic capacity — to express and deliver critical creativity and make it bop, make if feel alive, just give people direction, catalyze that spark: change the world and someone’s life one rhythm at a rhyme. Expand the consciousness, free my mind. (Per favore; because, manners matter.)

Spoiler

Honestly (and this might be construed as negative) but I really don’t consider commercial success as a goalpost or barometer for (artistic) achievement, with this one in particular — that badge becomes a burden after awhile, to constantly be held to commercial reception seems to counteract creative liberty: so … idk after the recent success, I kind of feel she should be able to just make what feels good and is good on its own merit — regardless of manufactured industry standards … but that’s just where I stand on that whole scene.

TL;DR : naive as it may be, for me, LG6 will be worth the wait if it delivers authentic opus from the vessel of a cultural vanguard — tbh, I just want a musical piece that makes it all real now. (Whenever “now” happens to be, but also shatters standard conventions of time — so that, upon said release, this current wait exists only as a distant memory.) But I also subscribe to, “the wait is always worth it” when it comes to the bulk — if not all — of Gg’s creative work; so … in all fairness, I’m not irate or anything about LG6, even still; I figure it’ll release at the opportune time whenever that happens to reflect as a calendar date.

Spoiler

Slight post-script: Am I naive? About most entities / elements in the world, yes — most likely, quite definitely. Am I naive enough to think the label cares more about fan sentiment and response to the album than Gaga: absolutely not (does the label care about consumers — yes; fans if they are not consumers — not unless said company has met their quarterly margins). Am I naive enough to think Gaga has more control than the label over the album’s market / commercial release schedule and final form as a consumer product for consumption: not particularly. That said, am I naive enough to think that any album released into the commercial marketplace for targeted audience consumption by a private corporation is wholly and unequivocally about the music and not business / industry / corporate ends and agendas? I mean, please. Am I naive enough to still support Gaga as an artist creating within the commercial marketplace due to and despite all of that: clearly.

LG6 will be worth the wait as long as there's good songs on it lol hopefully more than Joanne

I mean at this point My expectations are so low that I stopped caring about a groundbreaking sound for the album, just give us something entertaining again.

I'd like a tracklist of at least 15 songs like ARTPOP, at least a little more than Joanne.

It just needs to be pop, it’s not that hard  I loved Cheek To Cheek and Joanne and A Star Is Born but she really needs to return to form

If it’s a  visual album :vegas:

But,more realistically, i just want 15 tracks, great looks, great visuals and lasting promo. Basically ARTPOP with a more evolved sound :vegas:

I know i’d still like it even if it’s not like that but i’m kinda gonna be mad about it. Like, Joanne was ok and i liked the era and the album, but i definitely want more creativity and passion for this one. Also i wanna like the concept, cause i liked Joanne musically but couldn’t connect to the album concept at all

I hope it doesn't sound simplistic in saying that the wail will be worth it if it were good. All the minute and intricate details aside, I just want good music.

I'm mostly saying that because I've been spurned this year by several releases with a long wait period on my end- Endgame, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Game of Thrones (I guess), Stranger Things 3. All disappointing.

That said, these were all primarily written by MEN, so maybe Gaga will break my curse dlkfjslfgjllsdalkjd

Given that it's been 2 years in the making it better be a super cohesive, carefully crafted album with a well thought out era. It should have a message/purpose or a clear story, and a distinctive and recognisable visual identity - basically BTW:flower:

If it's just a bunch of disconnected songs with no videos filmed yet or no specific plan for the era there's no reason for it to be taking this long. I do feel like this will be her last pop album for a while, so if it's not a truly great album with multiple great videos and distinct looks I'll be disappointed.
