PM Boris J & Gov. Loose Key Brexit Vote

MPs trying to avoid a no-deal Brexit next month have cleared a major hurdle by winning a vote to seize control of the parliamentary agenda.

They succeeded by 328 to 301 votes to suspend a Commons rule that says only the government can create new laws.

This means MPs now have the power to delay Brexit, and/or avoiding a no deal Brexit. Its quite important... but just goes to show how much of a circus the UK is right now. Nicola Sturgeon announced earlier she will fight a possible general election campaign on independence, I hope Scotland makes the right decision. BJ tonight did announce he will be putting forward a bill for a general election if he looses tomorrow...

A no deal is the worst thing that could happen, so I’m glad Boris lost the vote.

There isn’t a strong enough opposition though for a General Election to work in the favour of remain-ers, feels like we’ll all loose out in the end regardless

Exactly... if a general election were to happen I think the SNP will win up here and will be close between the Con. and Labour. Will be a hung parliment... so its either the Tories + UKIP/Brexit Party (as I think the majority of England want Brexit) or Labour + LibDems/Rest of the remainers to push for a minority government. The whole thing is a mess

And you're right... a no deal brexit is the worst thing that could happen to the UK and the EU. There are no positive outcome of Brexit, with or without a deal

For all the lies and illegal methods the Leave Campaign (headed up by none other than Boris Johnson!) used to get the Brexit Vote, we should put it back to the voting public.

Honestly, given a second referendum, people informed about the actual repercussions of a bad and/or no deal might make a more informed decision on what is best.

I just can't believe something that was voted on 3+ years ago is still going on. It's a mess. Regardless of which party you vote for none of the leaders are actually really that suitable for PM.

They just made No Deal more likely.  Extension or not, the next general election whether it’s next month or post extension will see the Conservatives gain with Bojo at the reigns and huge gains for the Brexit party.

The chance of a soft Brexit or remaining lies on whether Corbyn will leave Labour and allow the party to gain traction again.

Keeping no deal on the table is the best way to avoid it though.  If the U.K. doesn’t have the ability to walk away, it won’t but it also won’t get any closer to striking a deal... the more time that passes the more people just want it over with and we risk allowing extreme parties into government.

Having a Brexit Party coalition will be far more dangerous for the U.K. than just a No Deal scenario with a somewhat sensible government.

I personally can't believe this was up to the general population to vote on. I don't think most of the UK population realized just what leaving the EU really means at the time. It's so much more than avocados getting more expensive

Some were racist as hell too, with the whole "I don't want immigrants here" motto. Well, you got non-white British folks in your streets that aren't going anywhere sometimes soon, so get used to the idea of diversity.
