Wtf kinda exaggeration is this lmao. That’s not true at all. Ambulances are $1000-2500 normally.

The shady thing is him leaving the scene to go home first....

I don't think he meant $2 mil for an ambulance, just every bit of healthcare Kevin would have gotten.

Though, let's be real. To have rescue come out and respond to my grandpa's heart attack - JUST rescue (one fire truck they send for drug related things and one ambulance) - came with a $9,000 price tag.

Thank god we're poor cause without his government assistance and vet benefits we'd still be paying that sh*t off :awkney: not to mention the two+ months in the hospital, the heart surgery, and all the meds he was put on. I forget how much that all amounted to but...it was a lot. Hundreds of thousands at the very least.

OT: he better be ok :crossed:

The American medical system is a joke. We pay twice as much per capita compared to other modern countries and we have some of the worst health outcomes :rip:

It is insane. Last time I took an ambulance it cost me $125.

Lucky :laughga: What'd they do drop you off next door?

Anyway, quibbling about the cost is a moot point bc when your car veers off the Hwood Hills, you take the friggin hit!

For those not familiar with the Hills  watch thru 3:00 for a good sense of it . It's easy to see why its the setting for many movie car crashes. @2:14 you'll see a spot not unlike that scene in La La Land

This is prob what happened to Hart tho.

That‘s crazy! Are you insured?

In Germany you pay 5-10€ if you take an ambulance.

My dad had to be taken to the hospital on an ambulance years ago and I remember the bill was massive. You’re blessed tbh. :air:

We truly are. And sadly Germans don’t even realize it and we are complaining about having to pay 10€ for the ambulance and 10€ for every day you stay in the hospital, to the max of 28 days a year I think? That‘s crazy cheap for potentially saving your life and helping you heal.

Basically, I live like 5 minutes away from the hospital :ladyhaha:

I was expecting the bill to be much higher to be honest. I was more than happy to pay $125 and not have to wait in the ER for hours sitting on an uncomfortable chair with excruciating back pain. They took me directly to a room where I could lie down, I was given morphine and anti-inflammatory drugs immediately and I only had to wait like 15 minutes to see the doctor. Then they let me rest for 2 hours to let the medication do its job and I went home.

Maybe $125 is expensive compared to other countries, but to me it was worth it.
