Well all science points to the fact that not only are there multiple genes that can predispose people to certain traits or characteristics, but that it's a combination of genetic, social, and environmental factors that shape them. So bottom line is there won't ever be a "gay gene" that is found since it will be multiple genetic variants associated with that, and even then it would only account for roughly one-third of the factors that predispose that. It's simple, one of the examples is that you find more left-handed people in the gay population than in the straight population. But it's doesn't mean that every left-handed is gay.
