This study clearly shows it’s many genes that MAY drive certain sexual behavior.

There is no gay gene. These gene variations also don’t guarantee someone will be gay.

Yes, I know, I read it. That's why I said IF there is a gay gene. Not saying that one has been found.

I am a little bit concerned about this as people are trying to look at the genes of their child before they are born. If there is a "gay" gene then people that don't want a gay child can alter that gene or terminate the pregnancy.

Altering genes may lead to decreased life spans. At least that's what happened to the twins in China that had CRISPR used on them.

We been knew but good they have more evidence now to stop people saying it's a choice just as straight people didnt choose to be attracted to the opposite sex and cant be forced to be attracted to the same sex

Well all science points to the fact that not only are there multiple genes that can predispose people to certain traits or characteristics, but that it's a combination of genetic, social, and environmental factors that shape them.

So bottom line is there won't ever be a "gay gene" that is found since it will be multiple genetic variants associated with that, and even then it would only account for roughly one-third of the factors that predispose that.

This article further demonstrates there is no such thing as a "gay gene"

Their conclusion sounds like an oxymoron. How can homosexuality be linked to genes, yet they claim that there's no gay gene?

I mean the fact you're a trump supporter says all there is to know on why you can't follow or make sense of this.

One must have logic, comprehension, and reading skills which are nonexistent for people like you.

And that's that on that :ohwell:

It's simple, one of the examples is that you find more left-handed people in the gay population than in the straight population. But it's doesn't mean that every left-handed is gay.

A new study seems to firmly bury the idea of a so-called “gay gene.” Scientists looked at the genes of nearly a half million people and couldn’t find any genetic variations that could reliably predict someone’s same-sex behavior. Rather, they argue, our sexual preferences are influenced by a complex mix of our genes, environment, and life experiences.

The international research team, which includes scientists from Sweden, Denmark, the UK, and the U.S., looked at genetic data collected from earlier studies and projects, including from the consumer DNA testing company 23andMe. In total, just over 470,000 people were included.
