I was using numbers to help define things seeing as you were too. It's generally a bad sign when you're a big name in America yet struggle to get a top 10 hit. And 26th biggest song? Do you really think that's an achievement worth bragging about?

It's not about how much the music industry has changed. If you're a big name, you shouldn't be affected, that's why they're the anomalies.

But in a way, albums that sold more singles are the ones that are remembered because the average member of the public doesn't remember entire albums. They define an era by the singles, not the album tracks. And successful singles are what keeps the public going to watch you on tour. This is me being very in touch with the industry, on the contrary.

Absolutely. You don't need to top 10 song of the year to have a hit. Delicate was cute stable hit. Taylor is not big name in America, she is biggest one. This is why she is about to be biggest hot200 female artist or she had biggest North American tour of all time. She didn't do that with singles. She has only 5 number 1.

What? All big names effected, even Adele. How can you not? She still had best selling album of the year. "Best one to standarts". Doesn't matter if it sold 2 million or 10 million. It is most to the standart of the industry if it is most selling one.

Well if it works like you said, why rihanna and ariana can't fill even 1 stadium in USA when Beyonce and Taylor goes to stadium tours? Because streams and 1$ singles don't fill seats. Album sales does. This is why biggest pure sale acts aka Ed, Adele, Taylor and Beyonce filled stadium instead of Katy, Rihanna, Ariana etc.

A cute, stable hit that only her fans truly remember and wasn't even nominated for a Grammy. And she's not the biggest name in America (maybe the biggest American singer but the not the most successful singer based on what the country's listening to). Adele sold more copies of her latest album than Reputation and Ed and Beyonce either equal or better her when it comes to most things in general. And 5 #1's is a lot and then there's a further 16 top tens. That's more than enough hits to get people coming back. But if they start drying up, people will start to move on.

Adele isn't affected by low sales, it's just a case of not everyone will buy the follow-up to the big hit album. And I guess if the biggest selling album of the year is the standard for the industry, then I guess Gaga's currently the biggest name in America, right? ASIB soundtrack is the biggest seller of 2019. And I somehow doubt Taylor's going to top the 6 million this album generated worldwide.

Rihanna and Ariana can't fill stadiums because their fanbase simply isn't as dedicated. By the way, Rihanna could sell out stadiums back in the day but as time went on and she kept her fans waiting and started having less hits, her ability to do that petered out. And a lot of singers just do arenas when they tour the US anyway, it's just the way it works. It's just that some fanbases show bigger support than others. Even when Mariah Carey was selling tens of millions, you'd be surprised to find that she has never had big demand as a touring act (look it up). It's a weird but true thing that some acts may sell music but their audience don't actually have much desire to see them live. It's just a matter of luck what your fans disposition is going to be. Taylor's lucky to have a very devoted fanbase who show support for everything she does but outside her fanbase? People either are very fickle towards her music (not here for country but here for pop and now, not even that) or don't know her at all. As for Beyonce, well, she's got the best PR money can buy and has convinced the public into believing that she's worth seeing live. And #1 singles don't seats? Say that to literally any artist who had a massive era of #1's. Ariana's sold well over 650k tickets and well over $60 million for the first US leg alone and then there's all the international dates plus more in the US later. So much for you saying she's just a streaming act.

You still eat your own words. You called grammys are not known by public and don't show success and now delicate is not hit because it didn't nominated for grammy?

No Ed and Beyonce not even close at USA. She sold more album in America than their combined US sales. Her total tour gross in USA is biggest in history for any solo act. And she is only act to sold 1 million in US 4 times.

How do you know Adele is not effected when her last album released at 2015, about same year with 22 million sps selling album 1989? She didn't even put her album to stream platforms 8 month for a reason. And we will see if she will be able this time.

Did you think why fanbases dedicated? Because they buy albums and show their support. They believe it deserve it. But people listen hit songs just because they like it. Hit singles doesn't fill seats, albums does. You only proved my point. Name me 2 singles artist filled stadiums in USA and ı will agree otherwise.

Mariah sold out stadiums where she was biggest at. She was huge in asia and filled multiple stadium nobody can until now. She is first artist in history had 5 stadium date in China in a tour.(includes 3. biggest stadium of country)

You can't have biggest North American Tour IN HISTORY with fanbase. Or that means your fanbase is already equal to GP. Make it make sense.

Ariana had not any stadium date. Like ı said, it is because she is not album artist. She is in her 5. Era already but no stadium.

Yes ı believe she will sell more than A star is born. And "numbers support" my idea too. It already sold 2 million worldwide.
