Pink  and Gaga are very similar in that it is much easier to argue they were selling out in the early phases of their career to get into the business. Both women have asserted their independence later.

I like some songs off Joanne but most people were not here for it. She still made a successful era out of it and that's a testament to her talent and drive. But that sound is way to safe and vanilla to continue on. Pink is very successful but in the grand scheme of things she is insignificant. She started out great with Misundastoof but after switching outlooks her music went downhill. She is and will never be regarded the same way as someone like Beyonce for example. Pink clearly knows this and is OK with it which is why she continues making the same album for 40 year old soccer moms with no creativity and no substance. Gaga is and can be better than that.

I'm not saying she needs "bOpS!!1" but Joanne/ASIB direction is not the answer either. And this is coming from someone that wanted a ASIB follow up single and who thinks "Is That Alright" is one of her best songs ever.
