Why should we? Honestly, People are literally being evicted, left homeless, many probably will die from this confrontation, and you want GGD users to care more about being politically correct and avoid vague antisemitism?

I completely understand that antisemitism is always bad, and truthfully some comments here do sound racist, inaccurate, and antisemitic. But the truth is as long as you pay your complete attention to this behavior rather than to the actual tragedy that’s unfolding, you WILL continue to get that kind of reaction, because it IS an infuriating thing to do. It’s borderline trolling tbh

You can criticize Israel without being antisemitic. I can’t believe that one user is being defended :smh:

Couldn’t agree more. I’m not defending anyone. Like I said: antisemitism is never ok. But it IS a matter of context. Maybe this thread is not a good place to start calling out people’s deeply ingrained antisemitism. Maybe a reminder like the one you just made (“you can criticize Israel without being antismeitic”) would’ve been enough, but quoting people directly like you’re the police of PC-ness in a thread about Israeli police brutality will naturally get people angry.

Idk, like I said, it might be exactly the reaction you’re looking for, but for what it’s worth, i believe it’s very unhelpful to turn the entire discussion of this grave incident into calling out people on vaguely antisemitic attitudes.

Oh, I'm just visiting-

Honestly, this needs to be thought above the conflict, above the endless violence, it's not even a two state solution kind of issue, it's not that matters, what matters is that there are people with lives and houses, nothing more, they didn't throw a stone or fired a rocket, they didn't protest, they didn't do any crime, they built a home, this little thing that we are all so privileged to have, this is what they did and if they take even this from them, if they can take it because well, they can, they control them, they can do wtf they want, they are the strongest, how can they even try to start to build a better future? if even that future is being destroyed?

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Because something is jewish it’s biased? Interesting. Do you consider Al-Jazeera unbiased?

Jews get literally killed in the West.

Yes because jewish people are part of this conflict. Simple like that. And yes Al-Jazeera is biased also because their people are ALSO part of the conflict. So let’s not pretend please.

But pretty much all of these were answers to rocket attacks and the prior death of Israeli residents. Israel nearly never starts these attacks

And that somehow erases the completely disproportionate retaliations and the countless war crimes Israel manages to pull off despite countless criticisms of every human rights watch organization out there? :awkney:

We're not talking here about "who's the bad guy" but about facts. This kneejerk "they started it" reaction is ludicrous when you're gonna ignore the actual impact of a state's actions. You can pretend all you want that Israel is "more democratic than anything around over there" but when the Israeli army deliberately targets civilians and children that claim immediately explodes into dust and is almost horrific to type at all :flop:

Imagine saying the Holocaust wasn't that bad because, well, Hitler didn't illegally come into power and the public backed him up. Those two things have nothing to do with each other. Everyone condemns the human rights violations the Palestinian break. But when Israel breaks them 1000x harder you can't expect the condemnation to be similar :air:

First YIKES. This sounds disgusting.

Second: when it came to Palestinian shortcomings in this thread you always pointed to Israels failings. Nobody here has even acknowledged the countless civilians that were lost on the Israeli side or condemned the thousands of rockets Palestine fired towards Israel. The only thing you people care about is to condemn Israel. If that is what you stand for then be honest and don't come at me when I present you the reasons why Israel retaliates harder than ever against Palestine.

Disgusting.

And some of you should go back and read some history before pulling a Milo Yiannopoulos on our asses when we stand up for such a humanitarian cause. You don't have to be Muslim or Arab or anything to show solidarity when you have to show solidarity. Thankfully, some of us here are well aware about.

Your "presentation" (you posted some Wiki links, chill lol) doesn't cover the war crimes and massive death toll of civilians and children though :air: Somewhere inside you have to realize that.

I literally wrote that I condemn Palestinian war crimes as well. But they have nothing to do with Israeli war crimes and they should be judged independently and according to the damage caused  I don't see what's so anti-Israel about that. The only reason it comes across that way is the simple and regrettable fact that Israel has such a poor record about human rights and war crimes :toofunny:

I can't believe standing up for Palestinian lives is a controversial stance.

I remember people in my own family told me I was wrong and God would punish me for "being against God's people" (Israel)...

Some people are so delusional they can't accept governments can be criticized no matter who they are or who you think they are.

No one should be above the law. Israel and the US seem to be above it all the time though.

You can not and should not judge the war crimes of these two nations separately. Doing this omits basically every single event that started these decades of war and misery.

In a thread about Palestinian civilians losing their homes and being treated terribly by the Israeli army, if your sole focus is on subtly justifying these crimes based off your idea of "who started it?" instead of on being outraged at the maltreatment of defenseless people, then it's clear you don't value the lives of the Palestinian Arabs enough.

Oh wow... you really wanna promote that message? :awkney: Reminds me very much of neo-Nazi "well, if the Jews didn't isolate themselves from society it would never have happened" talk tbh :rip:

War crimes aren't a matter of debate. They're either war crimes or they're not. Of course those things need to be understood in a historical and political context but that's not the same thing as simply not condemning them independently just because there is a context :air: That's crazy.

I hope you realize actions committed by a state like this  violate international law, human rights law, property rights law,  basic morality.

How people can just overlook this and have zero empathy is beyond disturbing.

WTF!?

This was never the debate between Nazis and Jews. Where did you get this?

What I'm advocating is if both parties commit atrocities (which Israel and Palestine do) both should be judged. If these crimes are dependant on each other and wouldn't have happened without each other, then they should be judged together.
