Fans/Negative Media/Amazon

Look, I get that some fans are disappointed by Gaga selling through Amazon. The whole argument is old at this point on here and we've all had our say so I won't rehash it. But the hyperbolic overreactions (she's helping to kill people, really!) that I doubt some of y'all have for people who work with Target, Nike, Apple, etc. have made a splash and there are now plenty of MSM article/tweets about how some fans are "angry" with her for using Amazon.

The thing is even if you are disappointed, why do little monsters rage so openly on twitter  (at a critical time!) about it knowing that the media pays attention? And then others keep fanning the flames....like even if you think Gaga's made a mistake, she's given her fans enough over the years that you think we could all pass on dragging her to h*ll in an over the top manner at such a critical time unless it was a working with R. Kelly level bad move or if she decided to perform for some private party for a dictator. And no, that doesn't mean I'm blindly defending Gaga...I'm just saying the over the top negativity hurts her and is baffling when you see how other stans go out of the way to avoid dong the same thing to the singers they like....

For example, you don't see Taylor's fans dragging her to h*ll for having worked with Apple and Amazon or Bey's fans dragging her to h*ll for working with Adidas. Anyway, rant over but just something to consider.

*And it's ironic since so many on here was convinced the media would drag Gaga...and no one but a few beauty people on YouTube have done so...but now the media is using fan tweets to go after her about Amazon. It won't hurt Gaga, but it still isn't great for her to have this sort of press.

To be fair, fans were only part of the people who called her out for collabing with Amazon :emma:

It's a good thing, it proves this fanbase still have a ciritcal look eventhough it concerned Gaga and is less dumb than the others… We shouldn't say "Amen" to everything especially when we are aware about issues like this

The people who called her out were barely getting any attention—there's a reason the headlines are about "fans" and not some random youtube personality with 20k subscribers. It's not like there were any headlines in The Cut or Jezebel or Buzzfeed—and now there probably will be smdh.

Oddly enough, it's not getting as much attention as I anticipated.

Yeah I think ppl need to discipline their disappointment. But social media has enabled ppl to projectile vomit all over the web without considering the consequences. Like unfair negative press for someone you claim to support.

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.
