Inferno 2,880
Post-ARTPOP theres been a sheen of dullness i'll admit to that. Everytime theres a new era (C2C, Joanne, ASIB) its like injecting myself and waiting for that euphoric peak id gotten from her first 3/4 albums that never comes (ASIB kind of came through though tbh). But im nevertheless infatuated with her tbh I mean im here. I wouldn't be otherwise lol and im still forever obsessed with what I love about her. Because underneath whatever shes doing now, Gaga is still there. I just keep waiting for that moment where it comes back out for real.
HoneyB 27,926
I would say a little, I have stanned all the way up to the Joanne era now that she’s doing Enigma and Haus Labs and ASIB ngl I kinda stopped checking for her I mean I’m glad she’s getting acclaim for all this but i feel weirdly disconnected from it all? I’m just waiting for LG6 to DELIVER 💋 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝕐𝕒 ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕌𝕡💋🍪
Diamonster 1,786
I still love her, but my love has definitely settled, it’s not crazy blinded passion from when i was 12, I see her differently now. I see her as a woman who does music for a living, as a millionaire with a business, as a celebrity, as someone who has everything at her fingertips. I’m not silly anymore and think she’s like us in any way, she lives in a complete different circle to me so of course all her decisions won’t make sense to me, she deals with different problems that most of us couldn’t dream of, so she’s not relatable either. To me she’s someone who has been and will be my idol, who’s an incredible musician etc etc, so my love has become immense respect, and just, understanding that things now are completely different. I don’t go bashing her every decision but I do express myself when something she does I don’t like, but always with the most respect I can have, she’ll always be a main idol to me, big part of my life, I have just, matured so I don’t go following her every move and buying everything she sells and getting in fights online for her. LDGA 1,260
It was really fun to follow her in the 2010-2011, everyday she would something new and unique and i (was 12-13 years old) found her to be jawdropping, she always was going to surprise me. Right now it is complicated to be surprised, but she still has the capacity of surprising me (that super bowl was awesome). She has grown and she has a different vision of the world, she knows her fanbase has grown as well. I like her more now than i have ever liked her, she is giving exactly what i want from her : a model of a strong woman who is so powerful inside a mens world. Gaga is the best. weed 73,759
I've come to the point where I love her so much regardless of what she does. I only listen to her music when it comes out or infrequently anyways, so for years she has had a different place in my heart than just "fave singer," she's an idol, someone I look up to, has helped me, etc.
JazzGa 14,620
Absolutely, and that's a good thing. Not "love" but "obsession" for sure declining. I would be emotionally stunted and a strange manchild if I was still just as obsessed with a random ass celebrity who doesn't know I exist, as I was when I was 16. If I never grew up and filled my life with other things besides Gagz, I would probably turn into some kind of disturbed stalker o_e My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <
MaryJaneHolland 77,348
My love? No, I just don't express it as much. My interest? Right now, yes. But that's because we're in between eras and ASIB as an album had no replay value for me after the first week. But it was (and still is ddd) smashing, so I just sat and ate my food. I'm sure once LG6 comes I'll be interested again. I barely listened to her the past 5-6 months. I kinda don't understand how people can listen to only one artist all the time... don't you get bored? Harris Walz 2024 1,451
I feel like I'm being marketed to. That "connection" is gone but I understand that her life is hers to live however she feels. It was a nice run from ARTPOP to now. I don't stan anyone I guess but I still am interested in her life.
pwcca 42
No. But I am more a casual fan than a Stan. However, whilst I may sometimes not take to a certain Gaga product (Cheek to Cheek and Joanne being good examples), I will always have great appreciation to Gaga's talent, artistry, creativity, and integrity. She is an amazing artist and personality.
heartless 223
These topics are so pedantic and exhausting lol. What has she done wrong to make you decrease your love for her? The amount of stupidity...

Maybe we were more invested when we were younger or maybe it's because she's doing less things now and nothing is shocking anymore. True. We're all desensitized (in a bad way). But still, she is an amazing and talented artist.
RochestrMonstr 3,184
I love her just as much as ever! I agree that maybe I spend less time obsessing than I used to, only because I’m older now and don’t have as much time. But I’m still just a big of a monster as ever. Joanne and ASIB contain some of her best songs. I like the electro pop albums too but I’m glad she switched up. I see no reason why I should love her any less now than I always have. By calling other people opinions stupid make you feel superior doesn't it? Good for you. People are just saying they lost a little of interest in Gaga this past few years, mostly because they grew older. Nobody's attacking her.

Some eras evoke obsession, while others people sit back and chill because they aren’t too into it. I think a lot of Gaga fans are consumed with the fact that they need to love everything that she does or she is failing them. Which is toxic. I have been fans of bands or artists or actors where I have downright hated a record or a movie. It doesn’t make me “love” them any less. I just wait for the next one or listen to the old ones. I think where Gaga fans/stans in general go wrong is instead of constructive criticism and debates, they go on attack mode and really ruin everything when they should just sit it out like you have said. I never see you on here promoting excessive negativity. I will never forget joining this forum because I loved Joanne and seeing all the threads bashing her and the album. It really ruined my experience. Now, when Gaga releases/does something, I take a few days off of GGD. The hate in the Joanne era was insane. Back then I was a lurker and I was honestly shocked at what some GGD users were saying about Gaga. One user who was a longtime member of this site had a complete meltdown and ended up getting banned, calling Gaga a "basic bitch" and made a Youtube video about it
