I'm hoping with all the outcry on climate change and 'everyone' suddenly getting on board about single use plastic, lots of people turning vegan (not me), more people being more environmentally aware and hopefully new technologies to make cars (electric cars are already a thing and will hopefully be the default kind) and planes more efficient ... We can save ourselves

Our ecosystem will have taken a real beating by the time we significantly reduce emissions but humans are also extremely adaptable

 

I don't think life will be as terrible as some fear it will be

 

The biggest challange may be agricultural but I think we will have ways of managing that even if we have to start growing more stuff indoors (a lot of things already are)

Not necessarily,sure things might get worse but they also might not. Maybe I'm too hopeful lol but I believe we will prevail and make life on earth continue to be livable. Also don't believe that things will get quite as bad as some people say. Of course  that does not mean that we should not do everything we can to stop the continued damage to the planets ecosystems.

I think in the next 20 years we will be far more sustainable than we are now tho the damage to the ecosystem will be significant

 

It will be inconvenient and make agriculture challanging but I don't think it will be doomsday level

Humans are the only mammal species to live in all continents (excluding Antarctica) even before modern technology

 

We are highly adaptable species...

 

Earth would have to turn into a complete hell hole before we go extinct

 

Plus we can farm indoors (some things already are) if the climate becomes to volatile to reliably grow outside... The cost of food would rise but we'd still have it

Yeah it would probably take longer then a couple of decades to truly get to a point of humanity beginning to crumble or something like that.

Exactly, and if our missions to other planets are successful and get more support then gaining resources from other planets or even asteroids would be a huge help in slowing down our resource consumption. So let's hope things like the next moon and Mars missions are successful so they get more money to work with

Life will always be pleasant for those with enough money, and only those will be able to afford this kind of procedure.

This is actually dark, we might be looking at a future where we have a bunch of old af rich assholes controlling the world while the lesser ones have to fight for their survival with short lifespans

I think they are

 

Besides the brain there's also your blood vessels and just general cells that eventually stop dividing and shut down 

 

Right now only major or whole organs parts like heart, kidneys, liver etc have a way to be replaced

 

We don't have a way to replace all cells or our brain as you said

 

Hence why even the oldest humans on earth would still die after 130-140 years despite getting new vital organs. The rest of the body would still eventually shut down

 

Also the brain, if u have bad genes, Alzheimer's is common after age 70 to 80 so many people still wouldn't even make it to 90 with these treatments as their brain dies

Tbh I also thought of this at least innitialy

 

In the first few decades because it's new technology it will be expensive

 

Only the wealthy will be able to take advantage of this. At least for some time

Mars has lots of iron and some asteroids lots of precious metals

 

One of Saturn's moons even has more natural gas than all of earth

 

We will be fine resource wise

Yep, the real question is when will we actually become advanced enough to do all of this in a relatively short period of time. The only problem with space travel right now is the limit of how fast our spacecraft can go. Once we break that limit then we literally have an infinite amount of resources at our disposal.
