fewer U.S. babies were born in 2018 than in any year since 1986, according to provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).

About 3.7 million babies were born in the U.S. last year

In 2018, the U.S. saw not only a 32-year low in total births, but also a record-setting dip in national fertility rates.

the declining birth rates seem to be driven mostly by sociological reasons, as couples choose to delay starting a family so they can stay in school or the workforce longer, either by choice or out of financial necessity.

If we can survive having a much older population for a few generations, this shift could actually be good for everybody in the long run :applause:

who can blame them, look at the president and the social climate of America lol. who wants to raise a child in that mess.

I have refused paid for trips to the states soly on principle. not supporting any country than would elect a homophobic, womanizer, racist, uneducated leader for the free world.

but hey the real reason might be that those women might not want to get grapped in the *** when their pregnancy lol might be uncomfortable

Its because no one can afford to even move out because of all the student loan debt etc. I’m 30 and childless, as are a lot of people I know (very successful ones too). I pay almost 2k a month in bills alone, not even including rent.... How would I ever afford offspring? :ladyhaha:

A lot of us Americans hate him more than satan himself and did not vote for him or believe in anything that he stands for. He didn’t win the popular vote.
