I don't think Gaga cares that much about the critics, but she definitely tries to reinvent herself and not be repetitive. And while I think some critics were being petty, there was a kernel of truth in the fact that all four of her albums had fame as a strong part of their concept and that it was getting a bit tired—and I wonder if Gaga might have thought she needed a new direction. Operating on her old self was an amazing idea, but I could defn. see how it could seem like a rehash of the old theme of how she used to be before fame hit and how she dealt with fame and the mess around ARTPOP. No. IDK if it was discussed before, but can someone explain to me the connection between interludes and overall JWT vibe, because I don't get it? I keep thinking they filmed it before she met Mark Ronson (while LG5 still had that dark atmosphere), I don't have any other explanation. Like what you Sea?
