A single being released first would make more sense imo, but if Taylor is coming in mid April she can't hold the album off that much longer if she's dropping now. And Taylor will definitely eat into it if they release that closely in the same period imo, because lbr as much as I love Gaga a big chunk of the GP, if they choose and don't buy both albums, will probably go with Taylor. Gaga and Taylor don't have the same following for the most part I don't think Taylors fan base is mainly heterosexual white girls whereas Gaga is bigger with minorities. I notice most of Gaga’s hardcore fans (aka the Little Monsters) tend to be white and Latino young people (straight women and gay men), and some lesbians, transgender people, crazy old ladies (who were probably just like Gaga when they were young), and progressive straight dudes. Considering she said LG6 is a surprise maybe she will just surprise release the Album, randomly. With Gaga you never know Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views! But not a lot... And I still think she and Taylor have some cross over. My tin foil, depressing in terms of new music theory is that she simply changed it up/mentioned LG6 because her team wanted to shift the attention of ASIB and remind the GP and LM a new era was coming and she was still a major pop star, not just an actress now, because the press kept tying every single thing she did back into the movie and trying to feed the BCoop rumors. H*ll, one article even tried to make her recent Jazz thing about ASIB. TLDR: It could have been ASIB is done with, she's in a new era...but she doesn't actually drop music for another few months or even until late summer/early fall. I think it's probably coming sooner, than later, but I could definitely see it also coming out in August/September based on when other girls are releasing.
