Gaga and a stand alone single

So Taylor is most likely dropping her album soon and will crush everyone in her way. There are rumors that Adele and Rihanna might be dropping before summer, too, especially as Adele has spent so much time in L.A.

I really doubt she'll bring out L6 in the next few months because of that (Republic and Interscope also both belong to UMG)....and also because the soundtrack came out in October. My tin-foil theory is that L6 will come out late Q3/Q4, possibly October/November 19 towards the end of Enigma to signal the end of one era (ASIB/Enigma) and the beginning of another. Also, she'll have a clear path if she drops it that time of year in terms of getting another #1 single imo although I think #1 singles aren't the end all in this weird time of radio play, etc.

But if you were Gaga's team, would you think she should drop another single during that second Enigma break? Something with Zedd, or Mark, or Diplo (ugh). A guaranteed hit producer that will shoot her up the charts. I know she likes to work with newer or less known/mainstream producers, with the exception of Mark, but the goodwill left over from ASIB and a hit single would hype up L6 even more.

First of all, LG6 :triggered: .

Anygay, I think she would at least tease the release of the album with some 1 second snippets to get us hyped and meltdowning the same time :poot: . I agree on the late 2019 release, though :lana:

I'll be dragged to death, but out of these producers, the only one I wanted her working with for her next single/album would be Diplo. Zedd is very bland and basic, and it's time for her to move from Mark. Diplo has so many different productions, I can't imagine the slayage that they two would be together.

Actually yeah, Diplo is a very good producer! I wouldn’t mind a song like this at all!

Timing doesn't matter to labels - in fact, they profit from increased competition. Timing matters to the artist.

For instance, while ASIB was Interscope/UMG, Trench by 21 Pilots competing for #1 in the same week was Warner. Still Warner had a huge stake in the success of ASIB cause it was their movie.

I thought Enigma will continue 2020?

there's no real basis in saying that taylor will release anything soon. She's just being more active again and stepping back in the public eye now that she's with a new label. she still doesnt even do interviews, her latest article was just about her stance on songwriting and stuff so honestly I dont expect anything before like the usual september/october release date.

LG6 I'm not even sure if we'll get it this year unfortunately. Maybe after this run of enigma dates is over. There must be a reason why the other dates arent scheduled yet.

LOL. For some reason I always want to go T7 or L6, even though I know it is supposed to be TS and LG.

Nah, Diplo is an asshole of epic proportions but he's an amazing producer. I love Mark, but Diplo would be interesting and has a better record at getting hits.

I mean, yeah, but streaming has changed the game and radio has also changed. Radio is far less bubble-gum/dance pop friendly than it used to be even three years ago, which is what that Katy Perry article brought up.

You used to turn on the radio and hear a variety of different artists. In the past few years, tho, it's basically been all Halsey and Ariana with a little Dua Lipa and hip-hop.

You are talking like she isn't having the #1 on Hot 100 this week with a live-recorded country/rock ballad. What happens, happen. She can't just postpone her album until there are no singers left in the world so that she could go straight to #1. :poot:
