I joined in 2016. Became a monster in 2015. And I still know Skype Ball because of how much it comes up.

SkypeBall was something that should stay in the past. If someone doesn't know what it was, better leave it that way. It is for your own good 

Seriously though, it's not that it was bad, but we were expecting her to reveal something new and then she didn't 

 

Anywho, yes, I feel like a fossil. Especially with all the 20-year olds in this thread. I am 26 and have been around ever since the Paparazzi video. But on the bright side I can appreciate how all of my friends had a change of hearts towards Gaga ever since A Star Is Born came out. Everyone around me knew I love her and they did not share their opinion around me just to spare me the awkwardness. But now I hear so many friends praise her performance. And the ones who did not like her acting say they loved the OST.

In conclusion, the good part of being a 1000 year old Gaga fan is that you can see and appreciate how many people started even noticing Gaga after ASIB.

Lol, well i’m 53 and I feel and quite often behave like a 16 year old, I know people worry about age sometimes, but is is just another label that some people try to stick around on, refuse to accept it is my advice....

I became a monster in 2015 so I missed out on a lot too but I saw the video of Skype Ball later. God it was a mess. 

But I feel like we're sort of getting to live through her prime as little monsters again now that she's huge in this ASIB era.

I have fond memories of being a 15 year old, lining my room with posters of Gaga and listening to The Fame, unreleased tracks and live acoustics. I used to make bebo skins with the OG Gaga logo (the mannequin with the lightning bolt). I talked about her so much and everyone used to just tell me that she was a man. My mum was the only one who listened to everything I had to say about her. I'm 25 now and she still acts interested, bless her.

I became a Monster in 2010, around the time the Alejandro video came out, I was 9 at the time, so basically I grew up with Gaga, I can’t express how much I love her, it’s been 9 years since then, and my love for her is still the same and bigger, sometimes I also get those nostalgic moments, seeing her evolve through the years has been wonderful, she was, and is my comfort and safe place. I look back to those 9 years and it does feel like an eternity and a rush at the same time.

I remember watching her Pokerface MV on MTV, feeling something odd twitch in my chest and hands. My mum came in to ask me about homework and froze on the spot. She screamed my name in anguish and dove to the TV to turn it off, but she was too late. My hand were forcibly contracted into monster paws and a deep gutteral "YAAAAAAAAAS" escaped from my body. I remember my mother's shaking face in my peripheral vision, her cheeks tear stained. She was weeping softly "nooo, my poor baby, not my baby". I could not bring myself to look at her in that moment. My vision was glued to the otherworldly goddess performing in front of me. My new mother.

I was born long before that day, but in that moment I was born again. My true birth, as a homosexual man.
