Is this new ASIB version going to be released on DVD/Blu-Ray afterwards?

So we now know that there’s a new extended version of ASIB that will be in US theaters only for a week. (Source: https://ew.com/movies/2019/02/27/lady-gaga-bradley-cooper-a-star-is-born-returns-to-theaters/)

So what will happen after? Will they re-release a DVD/Blu-Ray for this extended version?

Cause if so I am going to return the steelbook Blu-Ray I just bought on Monday.

I am sorry if this sounds dumb but I’m genuinely confused.

Yes, I think they are going to release another edition. 

The Japan edition that was announced yesterday I think will be available in more countries for sure. Probably in a few months lol.

Because it's become such a success and of the legion of fans, they are going to release multiple editions of the soundtrack and film.

Well I have been on & off this forum for quite a few times I just don’t want people to come at me just because I’m thinking about returning the steelbook Blu-ray version I bought (and thankfully never opened).

I hate Hollywood precisely because of this, I know this is not Gaga’s doing but I’m mad, they got us all buying the DVD/Blu-ray of the movie only to then make an extended version that will be in theaters and then probably on DVD/Blu-ray.

I honestly don’t know what to do, keep the steelbook blu ray and buy once again the extended version on Blu-ray?

I'm going to keep both - the one I have and the extended version I'm going to buy. But I'm a bit of a collector lol and love all the different editions with alternative covers and packaging etc.

It's up to you! If you can afford both go ahead, but if you can't then you could return it :)

I wonder if they're going to release the rest of the songs Gaga wrote for ASIB.  I really like the teaser for Clover with her and Bradley that is in the extended version

I hope so! I would love if they rereleased the soundtrack too with extra songs 😍 However, if I were to own both DVDs I wonder which version Gaga and Bradley would prefer us to watch, like which makes more sense. Idk. I guess it’s more about preference

Honestly I can afford both but I’m not a collector lol, I actually hate having twice the same thing but well I already bought it, might as well keep it.

I think it's not. The new 12 minutes are only in theaters for now.

 

What I need is a super deluxe exclusive collector edition or whatever, with ALL the content. All the bonus from the digital versions, all from the 564613 versions out there in several countries, and these 12 additional minutes. Oh and add a studio version of clover and that pop version of shallow on a OST reissue while we're at it.

If they do re release a blu ray il be annoyed if the extras are lacklustre this would be the perfect time to give us everything including the footage they shot of haha with the orchestra ect and would love a nice box set edition like the soundtrack (just not as expensive)
